“Barshaw Park has a lovely view from the top of the hill, as you can walk around the large pathway. Barshaw Park has 55 acres of recreational parkland and garden spaces open to the public. The children can enjoy the play park, which has safe play equipment for younger kids and a fun zip slide for the older and adventurous. The park has a boating pond, a walled garden, a miniature railway, a BMX track, a swing park, and a municipal golf course. Barshaw Park has various activities and amenities for the general public. The park features spacious play areas for children and even a basketball court for sports enthusiasts.

2025 Update: Special events like funfair day and open gala days are hosted at the park.”

BARSHAW PARK REVIEWS

A lovely park with good parking access, a cafe and ice cream vendor. The pond is a good size and few circuits give a good workout, there is a peace garden run by volunteers that is quiet and provides a nice place to sit and enjoy the fresh air in peace and quiet. Another nice afternoon circling the pond and sitting in the sun. The Swans and ducks seemed to be having a good time with lots of people feeding them.

One of the first parks that we visited as a family after arriving in the UK and i have to say, it is beautiful! This is a vast open space with a small hill-like climb, a cycling area, a small pond with swans, a children's play area and an amazing walkway! We loved it and would recommend everyone to visit this beautiful place to just take a stroll and let your kids enjoy fresh air.

I come here at least twice a week with my guide dog so she can have her free running time and burn off her energy and have lots of good sniffs She loves coming to the park , there is lots of space and it’s a lovely walk for us and she loves looking for squirrels too Often see a lot of dog walkers here too.

Such a lovely park to visit and explore. Great for dog walking. We went in the winter and the cows were not present in any of the trails we explored. This was confirmed by signage that the cows were not in the paddock so we felt comfortable allowing our dog off lead. It was such a great experience as we ran into legions of other off lead dogs eager to play and make new friends. Beautiful escape from the city! Easily accessible by car with numerous parking spaces, some small, some larger. Gorgeous views of Paisley, Glasgow, and the mountains. The terrain is not challenging and is suitable for young children. Most of the areas are not wheelchair accessible but the view point has a parking lot, so it's a very good spot for people who would struggle walking long distances.

Place is away from city center of Paisley. Lovely trail you can do. Nature at its best. Dog friendly but expect mud in trail. Parking space constraint is there. But 11 cars can be accommodated. View of city is great on a sunny day.

ROBERTSON PARK REVIEWS

Never actually been in this park before. Pleasantly surprised. Lovely tree lined paths and a pond. On this visit they also had a farmer's market, which is on, I think, every fortnight (but please check). Also on this occasion it incorporated a low key music festival - hosted by the people at Lomond Radio.

Great place for kids. Nice play park with a range of settings, climbing frames and other things for children to play on. Had wife open spaces as well for dog walking and nice weird and pinned area. Great place for a walk around in the middle of Renfrew

Lovely park, decent size, enclosed dog run and large playground that's clean and tidy. Occasionally holds markets and events that are always nice to attend.
