The caravan park is within easy walking distance of the beautiful and historic city of York and also makes for an excellent base from which to explore the Yorkshire area. Homestead Park is a beautiful 14-acre garden. This park is particularly famous for the herbaceous border and formal beds. The park has a Woodland and an extensive range of native and ornamental trees, Wildflower meadow, Medieval garden, Main lawn, Circle garden. There is also a popular children’s play area, a pop-up café, plant sales, plenty of seating, and space for picnics. It offers various tree-trail walks around the park. Baby changing facilities, Wi-Fi or internet access & disabled access are available. Dog-friendly park.

West Bank Park is a 16-acre park in the middle of Holgate, about 30 minutes walk west from the centre of York. It boasts a mature woodland and former arboretum at the top end of the park, off Acomb Road. The woodland attracts many bird species, including the long-tailed tit, goldcrest and greater spotted woodpecker. There are beautiful woodland walks for you to explore the hidden corners of the park.
