“Canterbury Roman Museum is built around a Roman pavement, a scheduled monument within the remains of a Roman courtyard house, and a Grade I listed building. Exhibits include a restored Roman house with a kitchen and a Roman marketplace. HOWLETTS WILD ANIMAL PARK REVIEWS

We had a very memorable experience at Howletts zoo today! . An experience/encounter with the elephants and Rhinos! ... This is a truly brilliant way to get up close and personal with the larger animals.. we were able to touch the rhinos and feed both elephants and rhinos. Truly a wonderful experience, one I know we won't ever forget ! The keepers were very friendly and knowledgeable , and answered all of our questions .. a brilliant day!

We took the children and they loved it. There is such a wide range of animals, and the focus of the place is to get animals back into the wild so it's great to see how many monkeys, elephants, gorillas etc have been returned to the wild. This was really important to us as we don't visit zoos. The living spaces for them are really green and leafy, and looks like they are well cared for. The keepers were very friendly, full of information and helpful, answering the kids questions.

Went there for a zoo keeper day experience, a very fun day out. Small group sizes make it personable with very friendly, knowledgeable keepers who love what they do. I would recommend it if you want to get up close to animals!! 10/10 experience.

CANTERBURY ROMAN MUSEUM REVIEWS

We only found this museum by the off chance of walking past it today while shopping around Canterbury! It's great. My 7 year old thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a dressing up section where you could wear costumes and helmets. They also had a coin making event on where you could stamp your own coin. Very educational. We spent about an hour here and will definitely be going to back again to have a proper read of things when we have more time.

Excellent display down some steps. Lift may be available, but was out of service for my visit. Fascinating history including the discovery of further locations after a bombing raid in World War Two. Loads to see in a quite compact area. Not to be missed. Stone's throw from the Cathedral.

Excellent narrations of the Roman settlement in Canterbury and archaeological explorations thereof, well-adapted for young guests, with both artifacts and a glimpse at uncovered ruins.

It's a wonderful way to see the city from a different perspective and take in its natural beauty.

We had an incredible experience punting in Canterbury! From the moment we received the email with all the details on how to locate the activity and when to arrive, everything was seamless. The staff were courteous and well-informed, making sure there was no chaos even though they were very busy. Our tour guide was amazing - the tour was well-planned and interactive, keeping us engaged throughout, even though some of us were on the introverted side. Definitely recommend this experience!

My Husband bought the trip as a birthday gift. We are locals. I thought it was really lovely experience, bit of history with beautiful views. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Must do if your visiting and really lovely for locals too.
