Howletts Wild Animal Park is a unique and original wildlife park that was developed to protect animals and breed endangered species. The Animal Park was established in 1957. Howletts Wild Animal Park is particularly famous for housing some of the world's largest family groups of western lowland gorillas. Their commitment to conservation through captive breeding, education, and reintroduction into the wild helps them better understand some of the world's most fragile environments and their endangered animals. Howletts Wild Animal Park is also home to the United Kingdom's largest breeding herd of African elephants. Visitors can enjoy free animal talks, educational centres, and animal feeding sessions.
