“Ordsall Hall is a large former manor house in the historic parish with a history spanning over 820 years. The hall has served many purposes, including being a family home, a men's club, and a church. First mentioned in records in 1177, it has had a long and fascinating history. Most notably, it was the family seat of the Radclyffe family, who lived there for more than 300 years. Acquired by the former Salford Council in 1959, Ordsall Hall was opened to the public in 1972 as a period house and local history museum. This Grade II listed building also features rooms and display spaces, beautifully landscaped gardens, a shop, and a café offering light refreshments. Admission is free.”
