THE MAENLLWYD INN REVIEWS
What an absolute gem of a place... The food was outstanding, my partner had Lasagna, and I had the seafood grill, I would say maybe a little bit more fish as the price didn't reflect the amount of seafood I had. But overall a must visit if you are in the area or wish to try for yourself.
The main courses were great, enjoyable and tasty, drinks were nice too and service was fairly efficient. However, the dessert was disappointing; it was supposed to be a sundae but looked like the ingredients had just been chucked into an old glass, like not much care had gone into the making of it. It also took as long to arrive as the main courses, which makes me think they had run out and asked the dishwasher or cleaner to knock one up. So I wouldn't order the sundae again, but I definitely would have the main courses again. Friendly hosts as well, so would go back there.
Great place. We hadn't been in a while but the antepaste sharer was brilliant. Minor hiccup with the main course but compensated with a free brownie for our daughter without asking for anything which was a nice touch. We will return ! Thanks for a nice lunchtime treat.

THE TRAVELLER'S REST REVIEWS
Gorgeous building, friendly staff and amazing food. Really enjoyed coming here for dinner. Pictured is the raspberry house soda, beef dripping sandwich, strawberry Bellini trifle and double chocolate brownie. Very ‘posh’ but at a reasonable price! Was also nice to be able to take the dog with us. Looking forward to our next visit!
Lovely place which was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday lunch time. Good food, good portions, fair price. General design, decor and atmosphere were really nice. Plenty of parking, makes a good treat after one of the many walks around Caerphilly mountain. Looking forward to going again. Pleasant outdoor seating available too.
Fantastic refit, old world charm with a modern interior. Food is delicious and cooked fresh, great choice on the menu Service by Tania and her team is excellent, very attentive and great menu knowledge.

THE GREEN LADY REVIEWS
Myself and my girlfriend always feel so at home and comfortable here and it's always a lovely atmosphere. Staff are so friendly and attentative and we are always made to feel so welcome. Plenty of choice on the menu, reasonably priced. LGBTQ+, Disability, culturally acceptable friendly pub for all... even has a dog friendly beer garden that the puppy loves.
Nice to be able to sit outside, although being among smokers isn't nice so maybe have a separate area. Not everyone sitting outside smokes. Waiting staff were great and really polite. Great prices, the fish was huge and I struggled to finish it. Parking: Parking is free you have to pop your reg number on the list at the bar.
Thank you to the Greenlady and all staff for doing my dad's wake the function room was fantastic and the food was awesome. Thank you for make our day easier at our difficult time. Thank you from the Baker family.
