HOUSE MARTIN REVIEWS
Last minute decision to come for a carvery today, the food was lovely and well cooked. Paid for an extra Yorkshire pudding but didn’t really need to as they were huge!! Asked one of the servers, Jo for a gravy boat for some extra gravy, expecting to get one and go fill it myself, but she brought one already full. Lovely friendly service!
Came today as a treat from my sister, my first visit and I will definitely be coming back what an outstanding lovely place with amazing attentive staff. Jayne was looking after us and she was so warm and easy to talk with. Attentive to needs and quick as well. Absolutely a must to come here beautiful place with amazing people working here.
Another excellent Marston's pub. Serving a great carvery and standard menu. Meet and greet was great. Food and service superb. Recommended if you are in the Doncaster area...

The Boat Inn has been an integral part of the Sprotborough community for centuries, tracing its history to 1652. The pub even hosted renowned author Sir Walter Scott, who is believed to have penned a portion of the novel Ivanhoe during his visit. Despite experiencing damage from flooding, the pub has undergone recent restoration efforts to preserve its original interior style with great care. Their menus feature a selection of hearty classics and traditional country pub dishes, complemented by seasonal spring specialties. To accompany your dining experience, they offer a well-stocked bar with cask ales, fine wines, and a variety of British gins to cater to every taste. You can savor these beverages in the delightful setting of their gardens or beside the cozy warmth of their crackling log fires.

THE BOAT INN REVIEWS
Had an amazing lunch today, and it was absolutely incredible. The sticky chicken is one you can’t miss with a starter side of halloumi fries, with the perfect fish and chips and mushy peas. Jades service was amazing and compliments to the chefs for producing such quality food. Can’t wait for lunch tomorrow.
Highly recommend this delightful, friendly pub just off the A1 who offer free motorhome parking, delicious vegan food, very dog friendly and well run by a great welcoming team by a beautiful canal with lovely dog walks in the nearby nature reserve. Very friendly locals, very heart warming thank you.
Nice venue in an interesting area. Good food and pleasant staff. We were made to feel welcome and were able to stay overnight in our motorhome.

THE SHIP @ BAWTRY REVIEWS
This is our favourite place to eat in Bawtry. It’s not just value for money, the food is delicious with a wide variety of choices to suit most tastes and diets. The service is prompt warm and friendly. Highly recommend the salted caramel and cappuccino roulade and the steak and ale pie. That said there are so many choices it’s difficult to choose! A fantastic, traditional pub (with not a bad gin selection too!), well worth a try!
Really nice, traditional pub with excellent car park and easy access from the main road. Very extensive menus for both lunch and evening times. I had a 'light bite', which filled the plate and was very good value for money. Staff were polite, helpful and not intrusive. Overall, an excellent lunchtime dining experience.
Absolutely lovely, friendly & welcoming staff. Great meals and good variety for everyone Inc vegetarian and vegan. Don't know whether there is a kids menu as I didn't ask but if not there is still plenty of choice from the main & extras menu. Dog friendly area in back room and staff are just as welcoming to them too. 100% recommend.
