I've waited a couple of weeks to write this review. Simply put, this is one of the best pubs in Yorkshire for food and service. The food is outstanding; they serve a little seasonal vegetable tart with the lamb dish that is one of the nicest things I've ever eaten anywhere. I've dreamt about that little tart more than once since. Everything about the place is top drawer. Rooms are pleasant, gardens even more so, the pub itself is beautiful, and every member of staff fantastic at their jobs. Perfect service both in the pub itself and the restaurant. I cannot recommend this place enough. You'll love it. You should visit.

Absolutely amazing experience. We stayed overnight here in The Rosemary room, which was stunning. The room was divine, set in lush gardens, that the chefs pick from The food was just amazing. Service was first class from all staff, who were knowledgeable about everything. Very friendly, informative and professional. Highly highly recommended and we will definitely be back.

Very good indeed! I went for lunch and thought that the food and service were consistently excellent. It's very consistent with and deserving of its Michelin star, based on my experience. The welcome and service were excellent. We were well attended to throughout, with drinks and food arriving promptly. It took just over 90 minutes for three courses for a weekday lunch. Food presentation and preparation were what you would expect for a restaurant with a Michelin star. I though the roast lamb main was a standout, beautifully cooked and very tender. All the dishes we ordered were excellent. Praise also for the choice of drinks and for the setting. The wine list is good and reasonably priced for the quality with lots of variety and many wines available for under ten pounds a glass.. The village, gardens, and surrounding countryside all add to the atmosphere. This is destination dining and well worth the trip, in my view. Exactly what the Michelin guide is intended for.

I decided to order beef dirty fries burger but I don’t like beef so I asked if I could switch to chicken and they didn’t hesitate with saying yes! Amazing dog friendly environment and staff so sweet and kind to us! The pie and mac n cheese were also amazing! High recommend.

Recently stopped over at The Ship, in our Motorhome. I'd read mixed reviews but always like to judge for ourselves. Great location and we thought great value £30 to stay on secure pitch, no facilities, receive £15 voucher to spend on food and drink. Friendly staff and good food & selection of real ale. Would certainly reccomend and visit again. 5.

Unfortunately never got to eat here. We did have a booking for food but my mum had a major turn on arrival. Suffered a massive heart attack. The staff where absolutely brilliant. Would just like to thank all of them x We have now been a eaten there as my mum has made a good recovery. Food was great and like to say the staff Debbie and Emily were fantastic.

Easy to book and the table was reserved on arrival. Service was fantastic all staff were friendly and speedy but made sure I was their only focus. A good varied menu meant that everyone in the party was catered for. The pub was clean with ample parking and the outside was well kept as well. The food was hot and fresh and served well presented and by polite friendly staff. The time from ordering to service was perfect and it was really nice to not be interpreted during the meal to see if we were happy with the food we were guzzling down! The time between courses was also spot on! An excellent dining experience.

Recently visited the Warton Arms and was very impressed with value and quality of service. Great menu and range of drinks. Atmosphere was brilliant and a special thanks to Emma and the team for being very helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be returning at the earliest opportunity and would recommend it if your in the area.

I took my Dad who has Alzheimers here for lunch and it was fabulous. Bobby greeted us on arrival, she was polite, friendly and respectful. It was clean and tidy. The food was delicious, and my Dad loved it, would definitely go there again. Perfect.
