SHIREMOOR HOUSE FARM REVIEWS

Haven't been here for years but we popped in for some lunch yesterday. My partner had steak and chips, he said it was cooked to perfection, I had a southern fried chicken burger, it was huge, and our son had popcorn chicken and chips. We also had a biscoff cheesecake and chocolate brownies with raspberry ice Cream for dessert. Well worth the money. Staff are lovely and friendly too.

Was staying in the travelodge around the corner, and wanted somewhere nice to eat. The food was so good we ate there both nights. Pub quiz on the Tuesday night was an added bonus. Really nice atmosphere, great service and nice beer. Had the chicken platter and beef platter, delicious! Sticky toffee pudding was amazing.

My roast of the day sandwich was amazing, although I don't think it needed a Yorkshire pudding in it. Everything else was just right except there is an odd smell in the place when you walk in.

LOW LIGHTS TAVERN REVIEWS

An historic and traditional bar by the quayside, this is well worth a visit. Excellent cask ale, as well as keg and a huge array of other drinks. We sat outside in the sun as the world struggled by on the hill. Inside is a traditional low brown bar with a couple of rooms and space to sit and stretch. It's not expensive and the service is very swift and friendly. Nothing is too big much trouble. Lovely people. I didn't eat, but saw what others had and it looked delicious. I didn't hear any complaints from anyone about anything. Definitely happy to recommend this bar.

Amazing, best steak pie and chips in North east, so much steak in the pie I struggled to finish it all. Well worth a visit.

This place is an amazing little bar for great food and drink. I met this man Nigel Devine who made the place feel like my local pub back home. The staff was lovely. The food was fantastic( fish and chips) there was so much that I couldn't finish it all. You won't go hungry eating here. The portions are American sized. It was crowded with locals in the bar area but I was able to get into the music room for a meal and 2 pints. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting anywhere near Newcastle or North Shields.

Our favourite place to grab a drink some food. Stunning views over the fish quay and beyond, really good atmosphere and the vibes are immaculate I spent my birthday here and also had the afternoon tea too staff are always helpful.

Thoroughly enjoyed bottomless brunch , staff very friendly. Only suggestion we out in sun , music would have been nice.

Thank you Groupon for showing me this place. From walking in to walking out we were looked after by the attentive young gentleman ( I should have wrote his name down ). I don't think I've ever been to a place for food where I was spoilt for choice. I have prawn cocktail starter and chicken stroganoff. My husband had popcorn chicken and lasagne. All faultless, with amazing tastes. Will definitely be back.
