“Colmans Seafood Temple is a family-owned restaurant that can accommodate bigger groups and has seating for 300 people. They source fish from local fishermen, including shellfish, on a daily basis. The restaurant prepares delicious seafood dishes for its customers. Colmans Seafood Temple staff members are well-trained and attentive and provide excellent service. You can place a table reservation at Colmans Seafood Temple. There is a council car park at the restaurant. Colmans Seafood Temple offers a gluten-free menu, outdoor seating, great cocktails, dine-in, and online orders.

2025 Update: They are now taking reservations for lunch and dinner. They take bookings for parties of 10 or more. Their restaurant, bar and takeaway are fully accessible, and they offer dedicated disabled toilet facilities. They have an extensive wine, spirit and cocktail list available upon request.”

Unexpected menu of delicious sea treats with spectacular views and friendly staff. This place could be everything you came for: romancing, fun, celebration. Eat on the beach in deck chairs on the sand, or wine n dine at the bar overlooking the dramatic coast and the battlements of bygone days. It’s the best shack I’ve ever been to . Yet some how it is still a shack. Very cool.

In a league of it's own, not just for the North East but nationwide. The lads serving and in the kitchen were all exceptionally friendly. The view from the decking makes you feel like you're abroad. They have a couple a lovely local beers on tap. As for the reason we visited, the food; well it's a good as it gets. Menu is immense, we ordered 3 dishes and they all looked incredible and the flavours were unreal. What a place. Rick Stein himself couldn't replicate food this good.

Awesome on every level. What a gem. The only feedback would not be so much single use plastic / take away boxes while you are spending upwards of £130 for 2 people. Food outstanding and wicked vibe! Highly recommend.

First time visiting The View. Arranged to have lunch here with friends, did not disappoint! Absolutely lovely, it does not matter where you sit, you have panoramic views of longsands and out to sea, the food was delicious, good variety, nice size portions, service was excellent, staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We also opted for desserts after mains..wow is all I can say.. we were full to the gunnels We will be back again, hopefully sitting outside when the warmer weather arrives. If you are visiting, I would recommend booking. There are a few car parks nearby, which are pay by card at the machine or using the parking app. Please be aware they can get very busy, however it's a short walk to the restaurant.

Incredible food & service. We all had fish n chips, and it is absolutely delicious. The portion sizes make it worth the price. The staff were very attentive, gracious, and kind. I brought in a group of seniors from a care home, and all 9 of them said they LOVED the experience. The facilities are clean, wheelchair accessible and the perfect place for every age to enjoy the seaside. We’ll definitely be back again. (And a special shout out to Melanie-thank you for taking such good care of our group. x).

Unfortunately had to send the 1st eggs Benedict back it was still raw. But the second one was perfect, nice sauce, not enough rocket salad for me tho. On the whole very nice. Excellent views from inside and the oudoor seating.

My wife and I had the most amazing anniversary lunch here. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and they had all signed a card which was a really nice touch. Fish a chips are the best I have ever had and the views were perfect. Overall all a very classy place, wonderful experience, and excellent food. We will definitely be coming back again. I would highly recommend.

Amazing sea food, I had lobster as you don't often get the chance, it was good, we saw dolphins swimming in the bay as well, it was pretty lovely. Staff very accommodating, about what you would expect to pay in a restaurant of this standard. Parking can be difficult to get a space outside so we just go straight to the overflow. I would come again, thank you very much. Really enjoyed it.

First visit with family. Nice venue, food all fresh and well cooked. The seafood platter was filling and tasty. Good service. Only thing missing on the platter would be a couple of dipping sauces. Will be back again.
