THE RED FOX REVIEWS
A very beautiful and cozy place with an old atmosphere. The territory is simply incredible if you want to organize a celebration. Great atmosphere, service and delicious food and drinks. We were seated near the central fireplace and window. The order was accepted and served quickly. It was my sister's birthday, the staff kindly congratulated her, which was very nice. Dietary restrictions: Staff asked about allergies and were all really on top of asking for each dish when taking orders and delivering food. The most professional staff.

THE DEVON DOORWAY REVIEWS
An impromptu visit last night (Tuesday) with three friends, was wonderful. We had the very delicious dirty burgers. Served with a smile by the lovely Eloise, who was more than happy to assist in our requests of pictures. We were served promptly and enjoyed the whole experience.
Delightful dinner experience for two. The alcohol-free cocktails were great while we read through the menu. We chose the hake special and nourish bowl with king prawns. Beautifully presented plates that tasted delicious. We shared a dessert - the churros were perfect! Thank you to Ewan who looked after us so well.
What was meant to be a late lunch became a 3 course meal with cocktails. It's been years since we were last at the Devon Doorway, we will be back again soon!!!

The Fox & Hounds is a traditional country pub nestled in the charming conservation village of Barnston. With a history dating back to the 16th century, The Fox & Hounds has been a beloved establishment in the area for generations. Originally, it served as a place for weary travellers and labourers to quench their thirst after a long day in the local fields or while passing through Barnston with their horses. Recently, their clientele has expanded to include visitors from farther afield, often arriving by more modern means of transportation. Despite time, the pub retains its original architectural charm, largely unchanged since its reconstruction in 1911. It continues to offer both a traditional bar area, appealing to those who prefer a more rustic atmosphere, and a quiet, refined lounge area for those seeking a more relaxed ambience. Their extensive drink selection includes a fantastic range of local cask ales, lagers, and ciders. The locally brewed 'Trappers Hat' from Brimstage, located just over a mile away, is a particular favourite among their patrons. Additionally, they boast a collection of over 60 malts and whiskies and a variety of gins, vodkas, and rums. They offer a carefully curated wine list and a choice of soft and hot beverages to complement these libations.

THE FOX & HOUNDS REVIEWS
Visited with family for my daughter’s birthday on a Sunday afternoon. Most of us had the Sunday roast and the meats were just melt in the mouth delicious. The meals were served piping hot and the veg was served separately on equally as hot plates. We all agreed our roasts were the best we’ve had anywhere. Staff were extremely pleasant. We also had the pleasure of watching and listening to a group playing and singing sea shanties that afternoon. The pub itself is lovely and we all will be returning for more of the same.
Eat here often, always great service and tasty food options every time. Good choice of mains and snacks, the steak ciabbata is delicious, in fact we havent had a single bad meal! Try the light bites as well as choosing a main and you won't be disappointed, great flavours and obviously a skilled chef. Lovely surroundings and friendly staff, always manage to squeeze us in when we forget to book.
I took my extended family here recently, there were 12 of us, for a special occasion. Mark and his team looked after us a treat. The food was magnificent, and the wine was delightful, Mark The Manager went out of his way to explain which wine went best with each main. I would highly recommend The Fox & Hounds.
