I have the good fortune to eat in some of the best restaurants in the world and the Drum and Monkey in Harrogate is simply one of the best seafood restaurants in the UK. The design of the restaurant is excellent, stylish without being pretentious, and the staff are superb. For starters the scallops are excellent and I opted for the lobster and langoustine bisque which is simply outstanding. For main selection I opted off the hot shellfish bowl and I added lobster to it creating a seafood taste sensation that is up there with the best I've experienced. I actually rarely find seafood of this standard in the UK so it was a wonderful experience. For dessert the honey baked Alaska is a work of art. All of this is backed up by outstanding service delivered with dedicated personal care. If you love seafood, you need to visit the Drum and Monkey as a priority.

Splendid across the board. Lovely staff, very attentive, and great food. I was part of a party of four and we enjoyed a broad range of items on the menu, and each dish had its praises sung. The lobster bisque was especially excellent. For my money, the best restaurant in Harrogate.

I recently dined at The Drum & Monkey in Harrogate and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, even adjusting my order to make it alcohol-free. The food was delicious and fantastic, exceeding all my expectations. This place is a true gem in Harrogate, and I will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious meal. Booked on-line and had a table upstairs. We were shown to our table and all the staff were extremely professional and polite. There was a fabulous choice of dishes on the menu and we opted for a shared meze starter, which I would highly recommend. Superb flavours and presentation of food was amazing. A huge thank you to our waiter who looked after us so well. Definitely brought back memories of past holidays in Greece! A wonderful place to eat.

Perfect venue for a big, informal gathering. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent and well-priced.

An excellent find on our short trip to Harrogate. Very friendly welcome and attentive staff. The food was great! I had hummus to start (the host brought me raw cucumber and carrots instead of bread - so kind), and the main was a lovely chicken skewer dish with halloumi side salad. Excellent value for money.

Beautiful classy & elegant place in Harrogate unlike any other restauran here. The food was amazing, really great quality & generous portion sizes. We had the scallops and teriyaki salmon followed by monkfish curry and king prawn yellow curry and everything was just so delicious. Even my partner who has high standards for food thought it was superb!! Would definitely come back again - and we rarely say that about many restaurants locallly :) thank you so much.

Fabulous quality across all the dishes ordered. What an absolute treat for a foodie! Now to go back and work through every delicious dish on the menu. No holding back on portion sizes of quality ingredients either! Can you have too much langoustine and lobster? Amy provided excellent service throughout the evening catering for our every need. If I could give FISK another star, I would.

Very happy my wife booked this restaurant. We enjoyed a very lovely evening in this small intimate restaurant. Plenty of choice and some really interesting fish dishes. I started with the king prawn madras and roti dish, quite mild but delicious followed by a lobster biriani. Great flavours and generous portions. Finished with a chocolate fondant. Highly recommended restaurant.
