3 Best Sports Shops in Bath, UK

I visited on Sunday afternoon 21-07-2024 to buy some running shoes. This was an important decision as at 61, and recovering from injury I needed a shoe that would help me get back into a sport I love. I can safely say the manager and the assistant were both very knowledgeable, friendly and the use of the in-store running machine helped me to make the right decision - I thoroughly enjoyed my evening run!! Many thanks for your outstanding service - much appreciated.

I went in today to look at tennis rackets as I’ve recently started playing again, the staff member who helped me was extremely helpful and I learnt a lot about racket grip sizes and weights. I ended up borrowing two rackets (through a scheme they run) to get a feel for the different weights. The staff members in the shop are very knowledgeable and helpful, I can’t wait to try the rented rackets and go back to buy one from them. So much better than buying online.

People on the phone were super nice and friendly and explained all of the racket services they had on offer which did help a lot. Also on arrival at the store, the staff were very polite and knowledgeable in all the tennis equipment and helped me find the right racket to fit my needs.

Great Store. Very clean and well laid out so you can actually walk around unlike some of the JD Stores! All the staff are super helpful and seem happy to be there too. Polar opposite to the Bristol Store where you can’t even get a grunt out of most staff members! Bottle whatever you are doing in the Bath Store and send it to your less successful Stores, you won’t go wrong!

The shoe section didn't have much to offer could do with a bit more of a verity. But then I popped upstairs and was blown away by the verity in clothing compared to the Bristol store and cribbs store. So will be back again for sure. Just for ease of access compared to other places. But saying that not sure if they have a lift or wheel chair ramp. But worth the trip if you need to see things before you buy them like I do.

I went in to get a refund for some shorts that were too small. They were very helpful and refunded my money without quibble. I shall definitely use them again.
