LADY LEVER ART GALLERY REVIEWS

The Lady Lever Gallery is charming and full of gems and you can easily kill a few hours walking around. The grounds around the gallery are lovely and the village is charming and quaint. The only negative I'd say is that the gallery does feel a little disjointed to navigate at times and doesn't flow as well as some other museums and galleries and did start to become slightly overwhelming after a while - this could just be me and also due to maintenance and works in the gallery, but just a heads up to others, there's a lot to take in! I was however ecstatic to discover a whole wall of paintings featuring Elisabeth Siddal, the pieces in the galleries’ collections are stunning and definitely worth a visit.

A stunning collection in a beautiful building. A £5 donation felt very reasonable and was glad to do it. The staff are really friendly and engaging and there are lockers for storing your rucksack etc, which was perfect for me. It wasn’t too busy but the cafe seemed to be downstairs. Loved the layout and collection a lot.

We were in a group from Mossley Hill and had a guided tour. The guide Stephanie was excellent. So knowledgeable , enthusiastic and passionate about the art and artists. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

WILLIAMSON ART GALLERY & MUSEUM REVIEWS

Such a brilliant art gallery that I’ve visited for many years. Entry is free and there are regular new exhibitions and events. Two main exhibits today were the Craig Easton photography exhibition and the worst record cover exhibits.

Whole rooms given over to truly dreadful Temporary exhibitions allowing precious little space for the display of the permanent collection. A travesty.

My wife and me visited to look at, in particular, the Della Robbia ceramics, a fantastic display! The gallery is first class with excellent items on display and an excellent café. We shall return.

The exhibitions were thoughtfully curated, showcasing a fantastic mix of fine art and contemporary craft. I loved being able to interact with the artists during the private events—they really bring the artwork to life.

Their dedication to making art accessible is evident. The variety of exhibitions is impressive, and I appreciated the opportunity to learn about each piece. Plus, the services like artwork shipping make it easy to take home a special piece. I’ll definitely be back.
