THE BAKE HOUSE STOCKPORT REVIEWS

We had a fantastic time at The Bake House! After finding out our originally planned venue for afternoon tea was closed we called the Bake House and they accommodated us at the last minute! We were too late to order afternoon tea but they did their best to give us the experience by plating up our sandwiches into a platter and putting our chosen cakes on a cake stand. Delicious baked good, teas coffees and scrumptious milkshakes for the kids. 100% recommend!

Welcoming friendly staff. We had afternoon tea, everything was freshly made and very tasty. Only one slight criticism (which is down to personal choice) we would have preferred more sandwiches and less cakes, having said that, we were given boxes to take the cakes home and little pots for the jam and cream. So all in all a very pleasant afternoon.

This is my go to place for meeting up with friends for tea and rocky road (highly recommend) as well as for bacon barms. The staff are the friendliest and most engaging staff I have met. Great local business, celebrating 10 years of serving the community. Nothing is too much trouble. They have a shelf full of books to read if you are on your own.

I like Greggs it's a good place especially for breakfast Mach is his good that is twice the price and subway is no competition using the same bread do they do for the sandwiches as for breakfast is a massive mistake in this country might work in the US but with a few thousand miles away from there but if you haven't visited a Greggs in the last 10 years it will pleasantly surprised they worked really hard to transform themselves and there somewhere I would definitely go these days I just wish they were open a little later sometimes.

Always gr8 Egg &Bacon bap my faves .Chicken &Mayo long rolls are delicious .I would say their coffee is the best .I met my partner at greggs in handforth we have been together for 6 years .We are the 3rd couple l know who have met there.. Think they should start a dating agency.

We all know and love something from the greggs menu or atleast a coffee and this store may be small but packs the full menu, always fresh and fully cooked (nobody likes soggy pastry). They always seem busy but don't be put off because the turnaround is always quick. Fast convenient and you know what your getting!

A brilliant local bakery! Have been coming here for years. Always a clean and well looked after shop. If you're calling in after 2pm then your choices become a little limited as stock runs low. Most 'regulars' shop there in the morning. In regards to pies, the cheese and onion is to die for, meat and potato is lovely as is the steak. Always enjoy a Dinky Beef on the side! Breads, you can't go wrong with the donker and my favourite is the Honey and Spelt loaf. As for cakes, I recommend the Vanilla Slices, Manchester Tarts, Malteser Cakes, Mint Aero cakes and the Florentines.

First time visiting today as new to Marple. Excellent selection of sweet and savoury bakes including delicious vegan curried chickpea pasties. Friendly staff and quick service. Very good value for money. Can’t wait to go back already!

Been going here for over 50 years service has always been fantastic and the pies are absolutely amazing.
