“Oakenshaw Boarding Kennels & Cattery offers exceptional pet boarding services for both dogs and cats. All the kennels and catteries are fully covered. They feature both a covered outdoor area and a fully covered indoor area, which includes heating for added comfort. Their site spans 16 acres and is fully secure, with only one way in and one way out, protected by CCTV and electric 8-foot gates. They have 55 kennels on-site with nice woodland views, and the main boarding block faces their paddock, which houses their horse and two pygmy goats. “Ardsley Boarding Kennels & Groom Room is a small, friendly, family-run business with over 35 years of experience in providing high standards of animal care. They are a licensed boarding kennel able to house up to 40 dogs at any time, ensuring a more personalised one-to-one service. Their modern kennels provide each dog with a heated sleeping area and access to an outdoor pen throughout the day. The kennels are cleaned twice a day and disinfected while the dogs are being exercised, so they return to a fresh, clean kennel with fresh bedding, water, breakfast/tea, and a treat. All dogs are walked twice a day, rain or shine, and each is individually walked on a lead around the 4-acre secure paddocks. Our Evie always seems happy to go to kennels. In fact she doesn't even look back when we drop her off. She is a large reactive dog and the team seem to take such great care of her and her needs. She's always happy and smells nice when we collect her. We travel 45 mins to get to the kennels as it's the best we could find! Thanks team.

Due to the booking been a last minute booking i didnt get to see the actual kennels where Roxy stayed but after reading the recent reviews and the details and photos on the website i was happy it seemed nice. When my husband collected Roxy he said she came out excited to see him which is good. She didnt smell either so looks like shes had a bath before collection. Roxy seems in good health so im happy she has been looked after properly.

After searching for kennels for our dog Luna for our summer holidays I was beginning to give up hope until I found Oakenshaw. Their online booking system showed availability for the dates we needed in August due to a last minute cancellation so I rang to enquire. The owner Vicky could not have been more helpful and accommodating to ensure Luna had the right kennel to suit her needs. Luna has just come back from an overnight stay trial run having not stayed in kennels before and has been cared for excellently by the staff who are very knowledgable and caring and gave us feedback on her stay and reassuring us she will be fine for her longer stay in August. - Natalie A

From the moment we met Max and the team I felt at ease and knew my Bonnie girl was in safe hands. It was the first time I have had to leave her in a boarding/kennels and wasn’t a decision I made easily, however as soon as I arrived at Six Acres I was reassured she would be looked after to the highest standard and wow did they deliver. Bonnie is a very nervous dog (was a rescue and very badly mistreated) but I can’t tell you how amazed I am at how quickly she warmed to the staff, even getting cuddles on a nighttime and plenty of treats! I received regular updates of her progress and how she was getting on. Honestly can’t thank the Six Acres team enough and 1000% recommend!!

Me and my husband left our dog Bailey with max and his team, I am so happy I choose six acres to look after him he has been so well looked after and every step of the way we have been sent beautiful photos and updates of how Bailey is doing, we have definitely found people we can trust to look after Bailey and will always be sending him here, thank you so much for taking such good care of him ????

The most amazing experience start to finish - nothing we asked was too much. We were so nervous about leaving our pups and they were so happy on drop off and collection. Would give 100 stars if I could - would never trust anybody else with my pooches ????

Used Ardsley Boarding kennels recently for the first time and can't thank them enough! It was Luna's first time in kennels so was a little apprehensive leaving her for 2 weeks, However Ardsley kennels kept me regularly updated on her. She was very happy when I collected her this morning and smelt lovely after having a bath during her stay! Would highly recommend and will definitely be using again!!! Thankyou.

We left our 6 dogs for 2 weeks. One of our dogs is 15 years old and another extremely nervous. They were fantastic with them. They even gave them all a bath before they came home. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Been bringing my dog Bob here since he was a puppy. Highly recommended and popular so need to book in advance.
