Popped in after a long cycle and was very hungry. Got seated quickly and just as we sat down we were asked for drinks and food orders. Incredibly fast service (maybe slightly too fast as we hadn’t even opened the drinks menu). Luckily most people know what they are getting already so ordered and went straight down. Upgraded to king size but probably wasn’t necessary. Food was tasty and exactly as expected from the Toby Carvery.

This was my first visit for breakfast here, ive obviously been for a carvery or two.The all you can eat breakfast buffet is delicious. There was a surprise of roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy as part of the selection. I also had a free refill cup of tea. Altogether it was under a tenner! More than worth it!

Well, a spare of the moment visit today. As usual, it never lets us down service. Quick food is excellent. As always, the server today was Ella lovely young lady with excellent customer service and a happy smile 10/10.

I just love this place. One of the oldest pubs in England…you just have to stop in. If you fancy some food I can highly recommend the pies. The steak pie is amazing, with a proper lard crusty pastry. Simply unctuous, and make sure you order mash and gravy with it. The pate was good, but more like a terrine, but still tasty. Come on in for a bit of history, and great pint and pie!!!

Such a fun, unique pub! i enjoyed the spooky atmosphere and decorations. we got the sunday roasts and thought it was delicious ! the staff were very friendly aswell. i highly recommend! Food and drinks: very yummy! great drinks!

Excellent food, great service from the staff friendly and chatty, told us all about the ghosts that frequent the building, will deffo be going back.

Absolutely lovely meal, the fish and chips well I say fish I mean shark! It was massive and the home made chips were amazing! My partner had the prawn pasta the prawns were cooked perfectly and my daughter loved the tomatoe and basil pasta all in all a great great meal would recommend. Having the park around the corner was just a great touch this place needs more recognition the staff were brilliant three ladies on very happy with the service very polite go there! Kid-friendliness: The staff were very welcoming of my 3 year old daughter. Very happy.

Great food here as usual, friendly staff and reasonably priced. Good selection of drinks.

Great restaurant. Food and service fantastic. A nice end after a day at the races.
