Had food and drinks here on a Tuesday evening. Quiet to start with (7 pm) but got progressively busier. The service was fast and attentive without being smothering. The food was great, nice straightforward menu and good grub when it arrived. Reasonably priced considering it has such a great City center location, right by the Cathedral. Well worth a visit.

Food is fantastic. Staff are very friendly and always there to help; even if it's recommending a real ale or gin. Not too expensive. The beer garden is absolutely lovely.

The meat feast burger was out of this world and the chips were perfect. Please visit this pub when you're in Chester as the atmosphere is very friendly and the locals are great. The bar staff and waitress are very welcoming and they have a nice selection of ales. I love the old architecture. Makes it unique in comparison to what I'm used to in Manchester.
