Recently called here for lunch and was so impressed I just had to leave a review. Our food was outstanding, hot and full of flavour. They carvery deck was well presented with plenty to choose from and staff were friendly and attentive, always happy to help. We definitely will be back for more soon, highly recommend Toby carvery Rhoose to everyone looking for a good quality roast. Well deserved 5 stars. Katie.

Food was lovely and well seasoned. Our waitress, Ruby was really friendly and helpful plus she was really patient with my stutter. She showed us to our table within a minute of walking in and quickly offered us drinks. Between Ruby's excellent service, the beautiful food and the very adorable, affectionate pub cat, we had a lovely time. We will definitely be returning.

Haven't eaten here since last year. Have to say it was a much improved experience for our visit last week. Food was great..... hot and fresh.Good price too! Service was good too and we were asked a couple of times if everything was OK. we will not leave it do long until our next visit.

BLUE ANCHOR INN REVIEWS

We had such a great experience at the Blue Anchor Inn. We stopped off here while on a coastal drive over this past Easter. We walked in just in time for Sunday roast time and we were very happy we did! The staff were very lovely and kind. It was super cozy and it feels like you are transported back in time. Multiple times while I was there I kept imagining what it would've been like to be having a drink by the fire 600 years ago! The food was very good! I enjoyed the turkey roast immensely! Only negative I was that they gave the two of us just a few too many potatoes and I felt so badly that we couldn't take them with us. I highly recommend a stop here if you are nearby.

This thatched pub has real character built in 1380, looks tiny from outside but don't be fooled, there is a small bar area at the rear with an outside seating area that's perfect on a sunny day and a downstairs dining area we sat in the upstairs restaurant this was very nice and suitable for larger groups. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was top class,lovely pint of Bierre moretie and they also had a good selection of real ales too, there is a large car park across the road if traveling by car and we saw a regular bus stop near by.

First night in Wales and the blue anchor was recommended to us and a gorgeous place it is. Excellent service, good food and such a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

My friends and I stopped here on our way back from the Aviation Museum at St Athan for some lunch and i am do glad we did. We all had starters and mains and they were to die for. Traditionally home cooked food with so much flavour. Hats off to the chef. It was so nice to sit in an oldy worldy pub with so much character. The young lady who served us, both drinks and food, was really polite and friendly and we all felt so relaxed in the wonderful atmosphere. Thank you so much for a lovely lovely experience.

Had another fantastic Sunday lunch yesterday at 'the Star' in Wick. Always a great welcome, food was delicious. Dog is welcome in the bar and even given a treat. Can't wait to go again. So glad I booked as was very busy.

Had food here after a cricket match against the local cricket team. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, tasty and plentiful.
