“Leeds Cathedral is one of the famous churches in Leeds. The church is formally the Cathedral Church of St Anne, commonly known as Saint Anne's Cathedral. The original church, built in 1878, was demolished around 1900, and the new building was completed in 1904. The cathedral underwent multiple restorations in the mid-1900s, making it one of the region's most celebrated cathedrals. Leeds Cathedral offers various ministries and groups to serve the needs of youth, children, men, and women in the community. The high altar from the old cathedral, designed by Pugin, is one of the building's main attractions. Leeds Cathedral features an outstanding design in the Arts and Crafts neo-Gothic style, with an unusual layout to accommodate its relatively small city-centre site. The cathedral is part of the Parish of Mother of Unfailing Help, which also includes the Church of the Holy Rosary in Chapeltown.”
