The oldest among them is St. Peter's, with its origins dating back to 674 AD. The church's architectural style is a blend of Gothic Revival, English Gothic, and Anglo-Saxon influences. It is counted among the three most ancient parish churches in Monkwearmouth. St. Peter's Church exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, drawing individuals from across the community to participate in prayers and masses. A wonderful friendly church and environment. Which makes everyone welcome regardless of race colour or creed. A credit to the people involved in the running of this wonderful building. And a great land mark for the city of Sunderland straight off the bridge. I was so glad I came across it.
Nice place of Worship. A welcoming Catholic community where love leads.
Very impressive interior. Like most churches, they look much bigger on the inside.

SUNDERLAND MINSTER REVIEWS
This church is a very special one due to its community of people that attend it. The Sunday service is always a time where you can feel the peace and the positive energy that is transmitted through the minsters and shared with the group. After the service there is a social time, where people share a hot drink and prepare for the informal service, where mostly people from international communities attend and experience the service in a different way and have the chance to discuss the scripture as well. Furthermore, there are a lot of events happening in the church, such as fairs, music concerts, support events for refugees and asylum seekers, so I highly reccomend this place.
Very interesting and impressive place to visit There was a warm welcome
I was volunteering here. Assembling the Yurt for Easter was a unique experience.
