Oh my word! I’ve been coming to Southport for 50 years and only found this plaice (geddit) today. Simply the best fish and chips in Southport. Great service, great prices and superb food. I’m just gutted I’ve missed out on it for 50 years.

Staff very attentive and friendly and offered great service Food was really lovely and good sized portions. Would definitely recommend.

Great place for fish and chips in Southport. The restaurant is much bigger than you think. Ate as a table of 9 tonight - had the warmest reception and the best service from our waitress - blonde girl! Chips could be a bit crispier but aside from that flawless! V reasonable too.

FYLDE FISH BAR MARSHSIDE REVIEWS

Our first visit the Fish Bar and well satisfied. The fish and chips were served nice and hot with crispy batter. Home made Tartare Sauce was also just right. We followed with a desert of Apple Crumble and custard for me, and my wife had Sticky Toffee pudding, again nice and hot. Perfect, we will return soon. The Staff were very friendly and helped regarding the men They also kept the table very clean between courses.

First time visit here with friends, absolutely loved the fish, chips and mushy peas and a battered onion ring on top which was delicious, all cooked beautifully. Great service too. We'll definitely be back.

Nice place. I like the concept. You can choose takeaway or stay in in a pleasing restaurant with very friendly and kind service (offering homemade tartar sauce to go with the fish). You can get a beer or wine with your traditional and tasty meals. They even have the most fancy bill treats I've ever seen.

Quality fish and chips! Fish was lovely had nice batter cooked to order , chips lovely not bitty like in some chippys . Came in a good packaging so easy to eat from . 10 out of 10 for Jackson’s will definitely return.

Wife and I have been going there for about 10 years when we make our annual pilgrimage to Formby and then on to Southport to get the best Fish and Chips in the UK.

We usually have a take away but decided to eat in on this occasion. We knew the chips were good but we had the cod and chips special and the haddock special. The fish was beautiful, the batter nice and crispy, not too thick, but the main thing for us was that the whole meal wasn't greasy in any way. The staff are very friendly and service was quick, the meal was hot so it had been freshly cooked. Will definitely be visiting again. Would recommend to anyone.
