“Horsley Lodge Golf Club was designed by course architect Bill White. Horsley Lodge Golf Club was remodeled the greens to USGA standards and leading architect Peter McEvoy OBE. The par-73 course is set on 164 acres, and their 6,500 yards meander beautifully around the Derbyshire countryside. The greens are open all year and play firm and true throughout every month, with no steep hills, wide fairways, well-defined rough, and fully mature trees. Water hazards on almost every hole provide both scenic views and challenges, and the bunkers are well-drained and filled with quality sand. HORSLEY LODGE GOLF CLUB REVIEWS

Went on a golf break with friends. The golf course is well maintained in a gorgeous setting. It certainly provided a challenge with my short game. Lots of water hazards to negotiate and good fun. We were well looked after throughout. A small issue with heating in the accommodation was sorted promptly. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Excellent service, nothing was too much trouble Very impressed. Thank you.

Went for the golf course was in good condition but in winter they may have issues with drainage the greens are difficult with a lot of slopes which makes it interesting service was good.

I cant comment on the hotel but golf course was second to none. I have played some top courses and this rates up there. Well done to Anthony Haste and the greenkeeping team. I would highly recommend this course. Great day.

MICKLEOVER GOLF CLUB LIMITED REVIEWS

Now then, let me tell you a little story pal. Mickleover and especially this golf course are very interesting places! Popped in the pro shop, and my god how times have changed. There was one woman looked like mary Poppins dressed for the theatre not a round of golf and a bloke in black and white stripes looked like a convict who has just absconded sudbury prison! The car park was absolutely rammed, I don't think people in mickleover work, either that or they are benefit, tax dodging fraudsters. Tut tut, all the gear and no idea! Another thing I found, there are more new housing estates than people in mickleover!

The golf club has had a make-over in the past few months and it's now looking superb! They have still got the best catering, though, as well as the fabulous bar manager and her staff, who give everyone a warm welcome. They also provide a great venue for private functions too!

Lovely spacious seating area in the bar areas. Great views over the golf course. Not a golfer but looked like people were enjoying the course. Relaxed atmosphere, extensive bar menu and reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Wheelchair accesible parking .

Played with society, course in excellent condition and greens relatively fast. Service in the clubhouse was good and staff very helpful. Dont let the fact that this is a municipal course put you off, the standards here and the course itself are better than many members courses I've played. Highly recommended.

Did the Footgolf with my boy. Well kept course. Friendly , helpful staff to get us set up whilst there and before on the phone. Course was quiet (midweek). Fairly priced. Can recommend.

Great course, very well maintained and never feels like you're closed in. Some narrow fairways but a beautiful course.
