“Birchwood Golf Club is a very picturesque 18-hole championship standard course. The team welcomes all visitors, from single players to prominent golf societies. Their friendly professional, and the clubhouse staff will provide superb service before and after your round. They have a strong membership, which includes a thriving men’s and ladies' section with the potential to enjoy a full programme of Competitions, including Open events. The club offers many options according to the golfer's playing skill level. Birchwood Golf Club is an excellent venue for weddings, parties, and conferences.

“Walton Hall Golf Club course is situated within the Walton Hall and Gardens estate and winds through a picturesque layout of mature trees. The course was designed by the renowned golfing duo of Peter Allis and Dave Thomas in 1977. The course offers wide fairways and large greens at just over 6,800 yards. This course is an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all levels. Walton Hall Golf Club is the perfect venue for a day of culture or a fun game with family and friends. “Leigh Golf Club has well-defined fairways and tricky greens perfectly complemented by mature and newly planted trees. Sean Blinkhorn has served as their PGA assistant for several years and is now offering new insights for the future of their professional shop. Beginner golfers can borrow equipment from the shop for their lessons. They also offer individual coaching for the long game, pitching, chipping, bunkers, and putting. Their memberships consist of different categories designed to suit all different needs. Leigh Golf Club offers lesson vouchers covering all aspects of tuition, ideal for any budget and suitable for all players, from beginner to advanced.

2025 Update: Leigh Golf Club was established back in 1906, when 29 local businessmen purchased a small area of land on the site of holes 9-17 on the course today, and decided to create a 9-hole golf course using local hostelry. They made the course available to all locals interested in playing golf.”

Had a great day with pure greens and a really friendly welcome. The course is a challenge with a good variety of holes. The members and the pro are always keen for feedback, and you can see their enthusiasm for the club. it's just an enjoyable experience all around.

I played today, and the course was in good condition; the greens are reacting very well to the work carried out on them. If you want a challenge play here , some lovely holes and every hole is a test. Loads of water and a very strategic course. Well worth a visit, will definitely be going back.

Lovely course layout. Surprisingly l didn't lose a ball considering the amount of water hazards. Very polite and friendly staff. Great breakfast totally recommend it. Great day 10/10.

Went as a group and hired a buggy, course was in great condition and the staff were friendly. Had a pint in the bar afterwards prices were very good

Played my first ever round or golf here so can't compare to other places but to me great course nice greens an Ts an nice welcoming people

Very nice course to play on with a practice green too; these welcome play and pay players, too. This is a very well-looked-after course.

First time playing the course, very impressed with the layout. As a visitor the members were friendly and conversational when passing, the course suits my game. Thanks to Sean (The Pro) for catching up with me after the round to see how I got on. Would recommend and definitely play here again.

Great course, short ( by big hitters standard )but tricky, awesome condition, pro and staff very helpful, my thanks to all at Leigh for a crackin day's golf.

Amazing experience from the quality of the course to the hospitality of the kitchen and bar staff, will definitely recommend this course to friends
