Speciality:
“Burton Constable Hall and its expansive parkland offer an unforgettable experience that captures the essence of the region’s history and heritage. At the heart of the experience is the Hall itself, home to the Cabinet of Curiosities, an early “museum” showcasing rare and fascinating artifacts collected by William Constable during the Enlightenment. Visitors can explore the preserved stables for a glimpse into estate life and marvel at the skeleton of the whale that inspired Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. They can also stroll through the Capability Brown parkland, following walking trails that meander through ancient grounds, past lakes, and across open grasslands where wildlife flourishes. To finish the visit, visitors can enjoy a well-earned homemade treat at the Stables Kitchen.
