The Deep is a huge aquarium with over 3,000 creatures, including sharks and sawfish, and features an evening restaurant. The aquarium is one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world, home to magnificent sharks, rays, and other aquatic animals. The Deep Aquarium was designed by world-class architects Sir Terry Farrell and Partners and opened in 2002. The aquarium operates as an education charity and has become an international player in marine conservation. In the chilly Kingdom of Ice, visitors can learn about habitat challenges, climate change, ocean acidification, animal biology, and food chains. Finally, visitors can walk through the unique glass tunnel and observe the stunning marine life swimming all around. The Deep offers free admission for children aged three and under. Their main café in the aquarium serves hot breakfasts and meals and offers high chairs for families.

2025 Update: The Deep is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).

2025 Update: Hull Truck Theatre was established in 1971 by musician and actor Mike Bradwell. Theatre's first production, Children of the Lost Planet, played to limited audiences, as did the next production, called Last of the Great Love Goddesses. The company started to create plays specifically for children. Hull Truck Theatre is innovative and community-focused, but it aims to inspire both creators and audiences to excel and grow. Hull Truck Theatre was acknowledged by a blue plaque to coincide with the theatre's 50th anniversary.
