Llantrisant Castle has been in ruins for many centuries, possibly since the early 1300s. When this part of Glamorgan was under English control, Llewellyn Bren significantly weakened the castle during his rebellion against Edward II. Llantrisant Castle's only a portion of the tower, and some outer wall sections remain standing. Llantrisant Castle is situated on a good elevation, commanding extensive views of the surrounding countryside. Parking is available on nearby residential streets. Entry is free.

Nantgarw China Works Museum conducts more than 350 workshops annually, including teaching, pottery, glass painting, botanical painting, and other crafts. Nantgarw China Works Museum features a 19th-century collection, including some of the most beautiful porcelain ever created in the UK by William Billingsley. The Museum celebrates the exceptional porcelain once made on this site. You can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in their comfortable tearoom, where a range of cakes is always available. Nantgarw China Works Museum also offers friendly, accessible parking spaces outside for Blue Badge holders. Wheelchair access is also available.
