“Llantrisant Castle is one of the most important 13th-century castles in Rhondda Cynon Taff, Wales, United Kingdom. The Castle has been in ruins for many centuries, possibly since the early 1300s. When this part of Glamorgan was under English control, Llewellyn Bren significantly weakened the castle during his rebellion against Edward II. Llantrisant Castle's only a portion of the tower, and some outer wall sections remain standing. The ruins are situated on a good elevation, commanding extensive views of the surrounding countryside. Parking is available on nearby residential streets. Entry is free.”
