Fantastic visit. Daniel the tour guide was amazing considering his first tour. Would happily recommend to anyone. Only downside was their is certain areas where photography is not permitted due to what’s in the room and the particular section of the tour. But, the Your Guides and security are clear about these sections in advance. Very interesting to see how coinage is made.
Absolutely brilliant place to visit plenty of history to shared by the tour guides, I do plan another visit as soon as possible.
Found this place very interesting. You can book a guided tour and even mint your own coin. Surprising who they mint for.

A WELSH COAL MINING EXPERIENCE REVIEWS
The excellent visit is well worth the money. Peter our guide was very informative and really made us feel what it would have been like to work down the mine. The coffee shop was very reasonably priced and I have never seen custard slices so big. We would definitely visit again. Thank you to all the staff for a very enjoyable visit.
Excellent place to visit, good parking and a great onsite cafe. Went on a tour of the old coal mine and workings, our guide "Tony" was Excellent was very informative and engaging, he kept the children on the tour interested and amused with his jokes, well worth a visit and I will definitely be returning another day.
We went on the gold tour with the children. The guide was an ex-miner and very informative/entertaining. The heritage museum has included digital enhancements to the tour to bring to life history. My kids (11 and 8) were entertained for the hour tour. Going down in the lift into the mine was a great experience. Highly recommend the tour to anyone.

PONTYPRIDD MUSEUM REVIEWS
A beautiful museum right next to the Pontypridd historic bridge. Converted from an old chapel it has many interesting displays about the history of the area. A lovely assistant on the entrance desk and a small shop of local and welsh items for sale at reasonable prices. A place I would highly recommend.
