AKROPOLIS RESTAURANT REVIEWS

Excellent Greek food in a cosy (maybe too cosy?) restaurant. Prices were around where I would expect. Portion sizes on the mains was excellent, and reasonable on the starters. All the food was delicious. Drinks prices on soft drinks were a bit high. Parking nearby is very limited and busy when shows are on at the local theatre!

Lovely restaurant. I enjoyed the Chicken Athenia and my husband enjoyed the steak. Excellent portion sizes and a very pretty restaurant. We will come here again.

Firstly the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful, with a real Greek feel. Secondly the food is outstanding - some of the best Greek food I have ever had. Thirdly George - the owner - is so hospitable and friendly - thank you for the excellent food and service. See you soon!

Always a delight, from start to finish. Food is outstanding. The prawns are cooked to perfection. The squid melts in your mouth literally! Prompt service! Everything was clean and fresh! Would highly recommend 3 tapas dished per person too share is the absolute perfect amount for sure!

We went here to celebrate my partners birthday and had an amazing time. Food was an 8/10 but the service is what made the experience so memorable! We were served by a lovely Portuguese waitress in the red shirt all night (unfortunately we did not catch her name). One guest has a gluten allergy and was wonderfully catered for, with the waitress and chef checking all of the ingredients and even serving a dish with the sauce on the side so this guest could still enjoy the food.

If you're in South end and fancy something different from the chain restaurants then this is the place. Lovely staff, great food at a quality price. Great mocktails!

A delightful welcome from the lady at the front of the restaurant sets the tone for the rest of your visit. The service was amazing, and the food arrived after only a short wait. The drinks were excellent as well. Overall, it’s an amazing restaurant—perfect for family get-togethers and birthdays. The atmosphere was wonderful. Just amazing.

The best place I have ever been to! Amazing staff , excellent service of the food, and fast and tasty drink service, especially the cocktails, my favourite is Rumchata Royal.

Had a lovely evening. Food was amazing. Great atmosphere and attentive staff.
