“Royal Victoria Park consists of 57 acres with attractions that include a skateboard ramp, tennis courts, bowling greens, a putting green, 12 and 18-hole golf courses, open-air concerts, a large children's play area, and a 9-acre botanical garden. Royal Victoria Park features a skatepark, a lake, and tennis courts, accessible to people of all ages. The park hosts events, including seasonal attractions such as carnival fairs. There is an exciting and expansive playground area for active play, zoom along the zip wire, beat the pyramid climbing frame, and navigate imaginatively through all the fun play equipment. Royal Victoria Park has two barbecue sites with specially modified picnic tables and barbecue facilities. The park has on-site parking areas.

“Alice Park is a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy. They offer a family-friendly playpark, community garden, wildlife pond, quiet sanctuary, boules piste, skate park, and limited free parking. This is the perfect spot to stop off on a long trip to Bath or as a destination. The café features some oak-framed seating however, there is plenty of covered seating next to the café. Alice Park often plays host to both football and rugby coaching. There are several fitness clubs. The park hosts many family-friendly and community-based events. Alice Park has on-site parking areas and is open throughout the year. They recently renovated the play park, which is now open to the public.

2025 Update: The park offers various activities, including a children's cycling track, tennis courts, and wildlife ponds, which enrich the visitor experience.”

Royal Victoria Park in Bath is a stunning and expansive green space, perfect for relaxation and recreation. Its well-maintained gardens, including a charming botanical garden and a serene duck pond, offer a tranquil retreat. The park boasts a fantastic children's play area, tennis courts, and ample picnic spots, making it ideal for families. The iconic Royal Crescent view adds a historical charm. Seasonal events and a bustling ice rink in winter enhance its appeal. Whether for a leisurely stroll or active fun, Royal Victoria Park is a delightful destination that captures the essence of Bath’s natural and cultural beauty.

This park is well worth a visit. With a massive playground for the kids, which has a public toilet, although you have to spend 20p to use and an onsite cafe, and acres of park to explore, for both humans and dogs. There is a botanical garden, to have a stroll around, which is well maintained, and a large duck pond. I haven't been here for a very long time, but never disappoints. It is a lovely park to also have a picnic.

The Victoria Park is lovely, with plenty of space to sit and relax on the grass or go for a long walk or a run. The views are pretty and there are benches available too. The city centre isn't too far though it's a bit uphill. The Royal Crescent is very close.

ALEXANDRA PARK REVIEWS

Bath has a few famous parks and because of the nice weather we wanted to go to Alexandra Park as we were told that it has a great view of Bath. Although a short walk from the city centre just be prepared as to how steep the walk is to the top of the park. We were pretty unprepared and it was a slight struggle in the sun and warmth. However, when we made it to the top the view was beautiful and there were plenty of places to sit. You can drive to the top of the park, which we probably should have done, but there are limited spaces to keep in mind.

Definitely has the best view of Bath! It was a steep climb from the town center but you can also just drive there as there is free parking around the area for at least an hour. We come here often to sit and enjoy the view with our packed lunches. A lot of people also come here to walk their dogs. They have toilets for 20p (you can pay by card if you don’t have any coins).

Hard climb to the top, but the views are most definitely worth it. One of the best vantage points of the whole city, well worth a visit if you have the time and energy.

ALICE PARK REVIEWS

Alice Park is a lovely place to play, picnic, children's playground, skateboard rink, pentangle boules rink, that's free to use, pay as you go 4 tennis courts, sign up online. Also, the Alice Park Cafe, I had a lovely breakfast and coffee this morning, and the cafe does have a good selection of fast food, as well as healthy options. Be prepared to walk to the park as they only have a small car park. They often have events at the park. Check out the parks' website. Walking around this park is on tarmac paths and some slight inclines. But pleasant seats to sit on on your way around and visit the wild garden which has a lovely view of the whole park area. Enjoy.

Been there for a few times with my nephews and Belle (the dog ) . Nice playing area, my little cheekies love to play in the sand , are fascinated about everything there . Nice coffee shop in there , could served it at the table or on the bench in the playing area while you watch the kids

This is a great little park on the outskirts of Bath. Very child and dog friendly with a great café on the South West side. 'The Full Alice' is highly recommended if you need a big breakfast. The café and others often organise events and music.
