3 Best Parks in Birmingham, UK

Had a really good afternoon at Woodgate valley. We went to visit Hole farm initially, with our one year old as its just next to the park and decided to have a further explore. There is quite a good path to walk around that's pushchair friendly, if a little uneven and a bit muddy. The riding school nearby has quite a few horses they keep in the fields on the main path, if thats of interest. The woodland here is really lovely and there is a lot of it to see, I'd definitely recommend it. The car park is quite large and is free as well. When we went the visitors centre was shut so there were no toilet facilities, though it might be open again soon.

Lovely Country Park for kids n adults. There is a small nice play ground with a ping pong table, cafe inside the Visitor Centre and small charity shop inside the farm area. At Hole Farm Trekking Centre based in the Park, you can learn ride horses. There are three trails of varying lengths. They all start from Visitor Centre and cover 1, 2 and 2,5 miles.

Lovely place to spend your afternoon with children. Close to nature. Playground area isn't massive but it is quite unique, more wood and rope than metal and plastic. Nearby you can introduce your little ones to horses if you haven't already. Well worth visiting.

One of the best open spaces in the midlands. I love that this area feels unchanged and unspoilt - I have been visiting for years and it’s quite simply beautiful no matter what time of year you visit. With free parking you can enter the park from a variety of different routes and explore nature until your heart is content. The Birmingham rangers do an excellent job of managing such an expansive space. The visitors centre is small with toilet facilities and basic refreshments and the cafe only takes cash (the last time I went) - there is also a small play area which the little ones love. The best thing is the view at the top of the hill - it’s worth the walk.

This was a great place, plenty of different walking paths with awesome views, lots of free parking near the visitor centre, a cafe in the visitor centre with a seating area inside and outside. A couple of monuments to see, benches everywhere to sit down on and take in the lovely scenery and a play area for the children. A good place for couples, families and dog walkers. There are toilets too.

One of the best outdoor spaces in the Midlands open to the public for walks and general enjoyment of nature. Good facilities at the Visitor Centre and ample parking for those arriving from far away. Great for kids, with a play area and picnic benches. Guideposts for walking trails at different levels of distance, elevation, and difficulty.
