“War Memorial Park attracts around 400,000 visitors from all over the city. The park has a large, dedicated sand play area with climbing and exploration zones. There is a separate sand play area for toddlers. The park also features a large water spray area that operates only in summer. The vast surrounding park offers plenty of space for picnics, cycling, and more. The park has zones for playing tennis, skating, and riding bicycles. The park features a 1.6-mile circular footpath. War Memorial Park hosts Coventry's most significant event of the year, the Godiva Festival. Visitors can enjoy light refreshments at the pavilion café. “Coombe Country Park is popular with kids who enjoy activities. The park covers 500 acres of woodlands, formal gardens, an arboretum, open grasslands and a lake. The park has won many awards for its quality and excellence in management, visitor experience, conservation, and education. The park has a visitor centre with a cafe, gift shop, Crafty Cat ceramics, and woodturners' workshops. The birdhouse is fantastic and provides an excellent viewpoint for birdwatching. There are many activities on offer, making it perfect for a day out with friends and family. Dogs are welcome and can enhance your pleasurable walk around the Abbey Gardens and grounds.

“Ryton Pools Country Park covers 100 acres and is home to many birds and other wildlife habitats. They have a toddler swing, junior swing, double see-saw, snowboard springer, wooden boat, bird's nest swing, and rope climb. There is plenty of parking, bikes for hire, playgrounds, and a café. Parking is chargeable. The park is an environmental and recreational resource that connects people with nature in an interactive way. The adventure play space in the foothills is suitable for older children. Ryton Pools Country Park offers a walk and events programme for all ages and interests throughout the year.

2025 Update: Their spacious education centre is available for hire and offers an ideal setting for meetings, family gatherings, or regular workshops. It seats up to 30 adults, with catering available from Farmers Fayre.”

WAR MEMORIAL PARK REVIEWS

Fantastic park to visit for anyone, all ages. So much to do, nice walks as long or short as you can manage, excellent facilities for both adults and kids, an amazing play and splash park which gives hours of free fun to the kids. Nice coffee outlet, just a really nice day out in the fresh air. Very quiet considering it's proximity to major roads and the city centre. Also very dog friendly.

I parked at the park and ride, which is free for 3 hours. had a lovely walk around looking at the war memorial and into the small sensory garden and talked with the birds in the aivery . Grabbed a coffee at the cafe and carried on back to the car ... It's quite a popular park for walkers, joggers, and dog walkers . Play areas for kids and a skate park for the daring ones . Tennis courts are available ..

Beautiful place to walk and be with nature. The walk is a nice long one at that, and the surroundings will definitely get you feeling tranquil and relaxed. If with children there is a nice big play area for them to go and play and take their worries away. A really nice peaceful place.

Perfect place for family get together and tree top adventure. You can leave happily after spending quality time with your family and friends. Tree top adventure is highly recommendable. Enjoyed every moments. Adventure sport can experience everyone.There is no age limit but also provide all the safety measures and instructions.Dog friendly. Hygienic toilets are provided. Kids separate playing area. Wheelchair accessible park. Car parking facilities are there too ( fee mandatory). Small food cafes and ice cream shops are there. There is no FEE for the park visit. You can celebrate small birthdays and retirements even in the park fields are also seen there. Weekend days are mostly crowded. Tree top adventure includes FEE with respect to the activity that you choose.

The picturesque scenes are amazing! Everywhere is well maintained. The staff in the Info centre was helpful and I like the Discovery Centre as well, as it shows what to expect and it’s interactive. The children enjoyed the Climbing Forest especially. Even myself also joined in to play as well. We had a wonderful day out! I highly recommend it!

I absolutely love Coombe Abbey. Lots of walks available. Dog friendly. Lots for kids to do. Beautiful scenery. Promotes and protects wildlife. New kiosks in place for you to get a drink, some snack food or an ice cream. Parking is plentiful and well priced.

RYTON POOLS COUNTRY PARK REVIEWS

Ryton pools is a great place to go for a relaxing walk in the fresh air and to see some large pools, ducks and wildlife.The paths are gravel/stoney so won't get muddy.theres a play area for kids to enjoy and usually an ice cream van there if the kids have been good haha.There plenty of car parking space with several car parks which you do have to pay for price depending on how long your there. Theres also a visitor centre if I remember rightly and toilet facilities just as you go in.If you explore further you'll find a wood which you can walk through if feeling more adventurous lol.If your thinking off bringing a picnic then there plenty off picnic benches dotted around. I've been many many times and sure will go many more in the future.

Visited on Monday and Tuesday and I loved it. The park is great and the woodlands are so so beautiful. Cannot believe I didn’t know this place existed half an hour away from me. A great place to escape, in the woods it feels like your in the middle of nowhere! Would urge anyone to go and visit! Really friendly staff in the cafe, we had ice creams which were delicious.

Great place for a day out, loads of parking about £4 for 4 hours, lovely cafe that doe hot and cold food and drinks. A few walks, bike hire and a couple of nice play grounds for kids. You can have kids bday parties here too, great for taking the dog too. Would recommend you check it out.
