Sandwell Valley Country Park has received a Green Flag Award. The leisure facilities include a pitch and putt golf course, a Millennium Cycle Route, a Mountain Bike Trail, tennis courts, and open spaces. The visitor centre is accommodating and worth checking out if you're new to the park. You can pick up a map and get tips on which parts to explore. There are also priory ruins with information boards, making them worth a wander around. The playground includes climbing nets, a rope bridge, an eight-metre-high tower with a slide, swings, a double zip wire, a dragon roundabout, a suspension bridge, a play tractor and a trailer. Sandwell Valley Country Park is open every day and is free to use.

2025 Update: Sandwell Valley Country Park offers accessible parking, accessible toilets, age-friendly facilities, baby-changing amenities, disabled accessibility, and wheelchair access. Orientation visits are available in the park.

Dartmouth Park is a family-friendly park and one of Sandwell's favourite family picnic spots. It has a splash pad, outdoor gym equipment, ornamental lakes, jogging routes, war memorial, floral displays, drinking fountain and sensory garden. Dartmouth Park spans 59 acres (23.9 hectares ). There is a range of activities for all visitors at this Grade II listed park. Dartmouth Park provides a range of amenities throughout for public use and enjoyment. Dartmouth Park features a pavilion with a community room, toilets, refreshments and a viewing tower.

Lightwoods Park and House offers a children's play area, a grade II bandstand, Shakespeare's garden, a multi-use games area, outdoor gym equipment, a skate park, and a tennis court. The garden is open to the public as a serene place to sit and enjoy. There is plenty of shade, seating spaces, and ample parking. Lightwoods Park and House is also an amazing venue for receptions, weddings, and other events. The park features a skateboard ramp and a bowling green. Lightwoods Park and House has children's facilities and many fields for adults to relax on. Fresh water for dogs is available, with tables near the grass and shade so everyone can sit comfortably.

2025 Update: Lightwoods Park and House is fully wheelchair accessible, and the park covers almost 12 hectares. They offer free parking.
