surprised my partner with a diving experience for their birthday, something neither of us had ever done, as well as our first time visit to Plymouth. It was so surreal being in the water with all the different animals, especially Friday the turtle. it’s amazing what the staff of this aquarium are doing not only for their creatures, but for the area of Plymouth and the world. We would like to thank all the staff of NMA, more noticeably Chris, our host, who made our experience 10/10. He was such a character, and knew so much about each of the different animals, especially the rays which are our personal favourites. he took many photos which added to being able to reflect on our experience, giving us both great memories. We enjoyed many laps around the aquarium seeing everything it had to offer. I would recommend this experience to anyone, was definitely worth the 5+ hour drive.

Throughly enjoyed the aquarium, a fantastic place. Although we went at peak time, we clearly got to see each of the large tanks and all of the creatures. I absolutely loved seeing them in these phenomenal tanks, so much so we decided to go on the behind the screens tour, which we would recommend. Seeing the Eddytone Reef and Great Barrier Reef tanks from above and learning how they look after each one is well worth the money.

Worth a visit. Loads of information were displayed and my son enjoyed learning more about ocean life. Count on a minimum 2 hour stay. We definitely will use a free return ticket this summer.

Little hidden gem! Small but very nice Zoo. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed animal talks. All time spent there felt that all staff and animals were like family. Impressed how much for each member means this Zoo and animals. If you are nearby, visit it and you will have a day well spent. If we ever again will be in area we will return to this Zoo. On our return home we watched a movie 'We bought a Zoo'. What this movie has shown very well is the spirit of this special Zoo.

Amazing place staff are doing a great job went round many times and loads to see that you may have missed. Staff go the extra mile. A really good zoo with a different approach than most other zoos. The setting makes it a great environment to see the animals roam and look peaceful and natural at the same time. Worth a visit and a good few hours can be spent here. Plenty of picnic spaces. The food was out of this world I recommend the cheese burger was cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit again very soon thank you to all the staff.

Just finished visiting the zoo. This has been at the top of my bucket list since I was a kid and the movie came out. I finished the book the day before coming here. So grateful to finally get this experience. Thank you so much.

I've lived in Plymouth my whole life and never visited this place, and I'm so glad I did. I have no idea how deep Plymouth's heritage was until I saw it for myself. The food was fantastic here. The exhibitions we brilliant, especially when it comes to the dockyards' history and the animals that we have here.

Lovely big space, nice new interactive displays, lots of local information... Not too much clutter like older places, well laid out and easy to get round. The cafe was also very popular!

This is a modern looking local museum that is free to enter. It has a variety of galleries about different aspects of the area and even includes a massive woolly mammoth!
