Incredible experience with Amanda. I came in with an absolute mess on my head, faded red box dye that had been bleached over with a lot of banding. Amanda worked absolute miracles as I not only did a massive chop to donate what I could to the Little Princess Trust, but also fixed the colour more than I knew was even possible with my hair history. She’s given me such a gorgeous colour with some really cool highlights around my face. On top of that, with such thick hair I was always terrified of going short for fear of looking like a triangle because it just poofs up, but she’s given me such a beautiful shape to prevent that from happening. I cannot recommend enough and will 100% be back again.

Walked in to Upper 38 and was made very welcome by Grant who proceeded to give me a great skin fade and hair cut. He listened to me and did as I asked whilst also using his knowledge to fit my ideas with my head shape. He clearly takes great pride in his work and put a lot of time and effort into giving me a great hair cut. He was friendly and flexible around my plans during the day. For £15 student price (£17 otherwise) it was an absolute bargain too. Best hair cut on Mutley plain by a long way. Thank you!

I had my eyebrows waxed by Jess. She was highly professional, a joy to talk to, really kind and patient, and made the experience go so quickly due to how much fun she was to talk to! At the end, she checked with me to ensure I was totally 100% happy with my brows. She is very good and I'll be looking forward to booking with her again in the future! The staff at Upper38 are so friendly and approachable, so the wait felt so short too! Thank you everyone.

I have never had such a good haircut in my life! I saw Riley today who had a proper discussion with me, made suggestions, explained why she made those suggestions, made changes as she went to suit my hair type better and overall I could just really tell that she had a goal and knew how to get there! The salon is really relaxed, the staff are lovely and friendly, they do bright hair colours (my hair is pink and it's not the easiest to find salons that don't get funny about using bright colours!) and it was just such a lovely experience. I will absolutely be back!

Booked an appointment with Riley and so glad I did - she is an amazing stylist! I was feeling so unhappy with the shape of my hair/layers and was wearing it up all the time. Riley completely understood what I wanted and absolutely transformed my hair. I feel like myself again!! Arena is the loveliest salon and I feel so welcomed and relaxed every time I visit. They fitted me in for a quick hairwash after an op and I received a warm, friendly welcome from staff. I was asked questions to find the best shampoo and treatment and got a lovely head massage! I didn't have a haircut or colour but my experience was very positive.
