THE PORTSMOUTH ARMS REVIEWS
Went out for a meal with a friend. The overall experience was nice, food was pretty good and enjoyed it. The menu was a little limited for me as I am a little boring when I eat out and tend to always go for steak, but decided on fish and chips for some reason. Staff were friendly and seemed to be very helpful when serving. So all in all a thumbs up from me.
Went for a family catch up and a bit of lunch. We prefer to sit in the bar where it is more relaxed. Very polite and attentive staff, food very tasty. Had an issue with one of the desserts but that was quickly resolved with a replacement being provided.
Good beer and large beer garden. Country style pub with thatched roof and heated outside area for the chillier times of year. Reasonable prices and great roast dinner.

THE DRAGONFLY REVIEWS
Had a family meal for 17 on Sunday afternoon. We were accommodated all together which allowed us to have a good catch up. Menu was great, varied and the carvery was a great hit. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. We will be going back for our next gathering. Thank you Dragonfly. Parking: Ample parking on site. Kid-friendliness: Small playground is well kept and just enough to keep little ones occupied.
Went with my elderly father and Gordon and the team were just amazing. He has Alzheimer’s and gets very confused, couldn’t remember what he had ordered and argued when they brought the food out. Rather than tell him he was wrong they took away the food and cooked what he thought he had asked for without embarrassing him. I am so grateful as this is such a difficult time for us to adjust to. When he asked for an ale Gordon brought him the non alcoholic ale in a pint glass so he wouldn’t know. Such a Star. We will definitely use this Dragonfly for all our future visits.
Great Sunday roast. Very speedy service and got everything correct with a large table order. Deserts were also scrumptious. Nice sized playground outside in a safe fenced off area. Lots of parking. Great for kids and provided a clean high chair. Will be returning.

THE FUR AND FEATHERS REVIEWS
Dropped in, unannounced, for lunch; greeted by polite and helpful staff and seated immediately. Excellent food, really good service and reasonable prices. If only we had somewhere like this round our way. Well done!
What a great experience! Lovely country pub, where you can feel the Christmas spirit as soon as you come in. The food was very good and the owners friendly and attentive. Strongly recommended.
Yet another hidden gem of a pub tucked away in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Really, really good food and highly recommended. Good beer guide listing (2022) was also well deserved - two great pints!
