Was in the area and chose this pub for a drink and meal. Was welcomed like I was a regular. Staff for friendly and very helpful. Wide selection of drinks. Another lovely meal. I brought my dog in and Ollie brought her a basket to lie in. Food was lovely. I had the pork belly which was lovely and hubby had the mushroom and ale pie.

The best Sunday roast we’ve had in a long time. The presentation was spot on and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The cheese cake was delicious too.

It was my first time visiting the Portsmouth Arms, it was a visit with the family, and well worth the experience the food was amazing it was lovely pub food with a little something extra and worth every penny, the staff were very polite and helpful and the pub had a lovely atmosphere which a lot of places have been missing in recent months and a big thankyou to Sarah C for her great service. Would highly recommend the Portsmouth Arms to any one thinking about going there either for a drink or food.

I booked a private function area for 45 people on Wednesday night, the staff at The Portsmouth Arms were very welcoming and the service was very quick and efficient. We will definitely be returning again for work function's. Thank you so much.

We returned to the UK and wanted to have a drink in a proper English pub garden. This one was great! The staff were professional and friendly without being overly familiar.

Absolutely brilliant meal, did not disappoint in any way. The price was a little more than expected but can see why when the plates came out! Food cooked perfectly, lovely selection of vegetables rather than the typical cabbage. A well spaced out table too, usually when in larger groups it's a bit cramped but we were spoilt for room.

Fantastic venue, great staff, fantastic food, on site accommodation isimmaculate and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend The Hoddington Arms,
