First time I've been here for over 20 years, the atmosphere was lovely, very family and dog friendly pub. My wife had the hunter's chicken, and I had fish and chips which I must say was probably the best I've had in years. It was a really chunky big bit of fish cooked to perfection with a batter so so crispy and triple cook mouth watering chips and very hot and fresh 20 out of 10. Great pub great food.

Really great experience at this pub! The food is amazing and the portions are enormous. The service was great and the staff is really friendly 10/10 recommend.

We went out for a meal with our friends to cheer us up and what an experience we had - our lovely waitress Gift, was a breath of fresh air. She was very pleasant and very engaging and couldn’t have been more helpful. She was a gift to us, and I hope that she to the Cuckoo, and is given recognition she deserves. Oh! and by the food was good too.

Amazing value for money. Me am I wife had the best breakfast and I wouldn't say that unless I mean it, as I'm a picky person, the food was perfect, eggs were cooked to perfection,the bacon was flavourful, sausage succulent as well as the hash browns crispy. For £15 we had and amazing breakfast to set us up for the day, would deffo recommend.

Had a great night here last week. Food was amazing, I had the carvery, my son a burger, and my mum had the fish and chips. Meat on the carvery was delicious and tender, and the fish and chips could rival any fish bar. And the staff, in particular Donna, couldn't do enough to help us and make us feel valued and special. Great service everyone!!! Well done.

First time visiting here on breaktime from school. The kids ate free with an adult meal. The staff was very helpful with working out an issue i was having with a login problem and was super patient. They have an indoor and outdoor play area. Great prices on food and the options are plentful.

Great place this. Right on the river. Huge outdoor area with pizza. Coffee mexican. And a decent sized resturant on the upper deck of the boat. Loads of people serving so small wait times. Everyone seemed friendly enough. Good selection of beers ales etc. Seemed senisble on price for a town centre pub. Something for everyone really. Would recommend and would go again.

I loved this place. The old school music from the late 70s was excellent. The Ramones, The UK Subs, The Clash. The bar downstairs in the hull was a treat, and the Guinness was spot on. The young man who served us was friendly and chatty with good banter, an absolute joy. The seating area outside was huge, I was gutted there was no live music on the night we were there. I wish we had one of these moored on the River Tees back in Boro.

After 25 years it’s time for a review. Amazing food and restaurant, unique, delicate food. Never disappoints. Same staff after all this time. What a great restaurant on a barge of all places.
