I hesitated for far too long before finally booking a course with Carol ‘Master the basics’. Wish I had took the plunge sooner, the sharp edge smoother is an absolute game changer whether you’re a professional or a hobby baker like me. Carol made me feel very welcome, at ease and she also has the patience of a saint! So knowledgeable, no question was left unanswered, it was a real pleasure to have finally met her and learn from one of the best! Thank you Carol for sharing your skills.

I have purchased the Sharp edge smoother from Carol and I must say it's amazing. Anyone who decorates cakes will find this invaluable. Also I've purchased decorating tutorials and I'm a member of the wedding Cake Lounge which I love. The amount of content is amazing and is added to constantly. You learn at your own pace and Carol is on hand if you ever need help with anything. I would 100% recommend Cakes by Carol to anyone and everyone for tools and tutorials.

Spent a very useful Saturday at a Master the Basics Class by Cakes by Carol in Peterborough. Working with Carol and 3 other (much) more skilled ladies I managed to learn how to properly place and smooth fondant icing using the sharp edge smoother and even my efforts looked really sharp! now to practice.

Excellent bakery with a lot of options. I visit here for Evette birthday. They also have balloons for different ages and a lot of cupcakes. Good people who work here, always helpful. You can order a birthday cake in advance as well. Surprisingly this is a chain of bakeries with a branch in Peterborough. Some of my favourite cupcakes in town.

Good selection/ variety and the cakes all looks so good! I got a cake slice today which was amazing and my husband had a cupcake which he enjoyed very much! you have to try the cake slices they are fantastic and will not be disappointed. Service was great, very friendly.

It's definitely our go-to cake store for any occasion. This summer alone we ordered 6 cakes, which are perfect each time. The cakes are egg-free, which is perfect for our family members' dietary preferences.

Absolutely beautiful cake and soo yummy the texture is so light and fluffy and not at all dry! Literally bar far one of the best cakes I've ever had! I was recommended to this place by a friend and I will now 100% be returning any chance I can to get more cakes! Also the cake wasn't too heavy and sickly to eat which was the best part! I ordered a smaller cake which says it can serve 8 but I managed to have it serve 12+ people for my birthday yesterday with plenty to spare! Keep up the good work!... I will be back

Loved this quaint little shop. Well presented cakes, sundaes and cake slices. Good friendly and patient staff. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they did balloons as well. The flavours of the cakes are amazing. I tried a couple of them and was absolutely delighted with them. They do have the option to order online as well as in store. My recommendation would be to come to the store and buy a few of the cakes to sample and then make your decision. Each cake is as good as the other. You are really spoilt for choice.

This is the 4th year we have out cake with these guys! Always amazing and delivering what we asked for! Super cheap cakes, compare to other stores in the town Thank you so much ! We’re so pleased.
