10/10….Bravo Mr Stein!!! The food was excellent. All our dishes were equally delicious and we couldn’t fault any of them. The service of the waiting staff were professional as dishes were clearly explained helping us to choose exactly what we wanted. I liked their attentiveness without being an annoyance.

Truly excellent food with helpful and polite waiting staff. On the more expensive side but the quality of the food made it well worth it. Would definitely recommend for an occasion or a special meal out on holiday.

I had been wanting to eat here for a few years and managed to go as a birthday treat from my wife. The food was excellent, and the wine selection was in-depth and vast but not overwhelming, we had a few different servers doing the same job, which i felt let the experience down as I never knew who to talk to for help on wine selection but they did over hear it was my birthday and went the extra mile for me and presented me with a birthday plate.

PORTHMINSTER BEACH CAFE REVIEWS

All three courses were amazing. The butterfly sardine special for my starter was beautiful - simple looking but with the olive and fennel underneath it was so tasty. Hake was the fish of the day and a very generous portion with sumptuous olive mash. Desert was gorgeous - pavlova. I wish we'd been before. We'll definitely book again.

So happy to have found this place on short notice on a UK bank holiday. Very friendly service, fantastic food. Location directly by the beach with a view on the sea cannot be beaten. Next time we are in Cornwall we’ll be back. Top recommendation is the Trout Pastrami with Horseradish.

Superb food, nice food, a relaxing atmosphere with a great view onto the sea and Porthminster beach. All the dishes we (a party of three) ordered were fantastic including the desert to particularly note the lobster, asparagus, and the Pavlova.

From the moment we arrived, such a lovely warm welcome by the front of house ! This is our favourite seafood restaurant and it never disappoints. We have several favourites on the menu, but today we both decided to order from the specials board. Skewered prawns in garlic butter, on a sour dough crouton sitting on a bed of mixed tomato salsa - Absolutely delicious Then for our mains - Whole Newquay bay lobster with a seafood sauce, served with a mixed salad and fries. The lobsters, were simply amazing !! Superb food, prepared and served by a great team. I’d also like to thank the whole team for making our wedding anniversary lunch so special.

We loved the fish house! It has an open kitchen so you can watch the chefs preparing your food. Our waitress was brilliant and the views of the bay were spectacular. The linguine was loaded with seafood and the shared platter had a bit of everything. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Newquay.

Absolutely spectacular place. Food stunning. One of those places I'd give a 6th star to. The views over Fistral Bay are beautiful. The service was exemplary. Friendly, happy, plenty of time between courses. Food on another level. Fish Tacos and Squid were fantastic to start. Sean Bass and Roasted Hake mains were beautiful. Fish cookery of the highest level. Even snuck a Butterscotch Sundae pudding in which was divine, though made the walk up the hill back into Newquay a bit tougher than it should have been. Book a table here if you love seafood with a view, in a relaxed welcoming environment. I feel like selling up, moving to Newquay and coming here for the specials every day.
