This was my first visit here. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant visit. One of my party was a vegetarian and they got a vegetarian staff member to come to our table to advise the guest on what goes into the vegetarian dishes and which he thought would be the best option for our guest. The service overall was exemplary, with the staff smartly dressed, polite, and very helpful. The food was plentiful and of excellent quality. They even accommodate for children, with a large play area outside. There was an outside area to enjoy on nice days or warm evenings. The staff brought out a special dish at the end of our meal for the birthday person. The seating was comfortable, and the tables cleared away pretty swiftly. You have the option of having your starter before your main course or brought out at the same time. You don't need to work out a tip, as this is incorporated into your bill as a service charge. There was plenty of parking and plenty of disabled spaces. The main entrance was flat, so it makes for easy access if disabled or has a pushchair. I can't comment on the toilets, as I never went, but if they are anything like the rest of the establishment, it should be of equal quality.

If you are a lover of meat, this is the place for you. We went as a family of 4 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and looked after us. The food was amazing and frozen custard, well it's a must try when we visit family again we will be back. Only draw back is we don't have a Hickory's smokehouse near us (west cumbria). Hurry up and get one near us.......please.

Took my wife and stepdaughter here and had a fantastic meal. The staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The food and atmosphere were absolutely amazing. Can definitely recommend and we will certainly be going again!

Excellent meal at 'Carnivore' not many in but it was early 5:30 pm. For starters we had the sharing nachos which was ample for two people, in fact you could have this as a main, just add some chips & you're good to go. For the main meal we had the 10oz sirloin & 8oz ribeye which were cooked as we wanted & were spot on, hand cut chips with the skins on & a side salad to complement. Overall a pleasant experience.

The food was absolutely stunning, juicy steaks cooked perfectly, crispy onion rings, proper home cooked chips and the corn on the cob was super tasty. Great atmosphere with cool artwork, exposed brick and ample space between tables. Music was great too. Service was top notch, Dan looked after us and recommended craft beers based on our favourite flavours. Will definitely be going back, highly recommend.

Visited on a Thursday evening and it was not so busy. Greeted promptly and was seated on the second floor. We ordered the skewers set to start (two beef one pork and one lamb) all seasoned nicely and very tender. For mains we had one T bone and one lamb valentine both with a side of garlic mushrooms which again were excellent. Nice place and atmosphere will definitely visit again.
