Delicious sushi and lovely presentation. The owner of this place is super nice, welcoming and is very passionate about the food. We ordered the Moonsha absolute platter and were very satisfied with our selection. Overall it was a great experience.

We had the seafood teppanyaki which came with miso soup, small chicken starter, egg fried rice, prawns, lobster, salmon, scallops, beef and duck. Everything was yum and the chef was friendly, attentive and gave us amazing experience. I only took videos so don’t have photos of the teppanyaki

Amazing food and amazing staff. Been here over 4 times now, will keep coming back as it’s the best place for sushi in the Derby area.

My all time favorite Japanese restaurant <3 tuna belly is a must have if you like sashimi super fresh and it melts in your mouth. Egg sushi is lovely too deluxe sushi plate is a good option if you don't know what to choose from. you will get a selection of raw fish sushi. Daily specials available. Japanese cheesecake was great.

Authentic Japanese Sushi just like in Japan. One of only few places to be able to order Otoro fatty tuna. No fancy stuff like dragon rolls etc. just the traditional simple stuff as in Japan. This is one of the best tasting sushi I've had in the Midlands. Prices do cost more than other places, around £40-50 pp but it's worth the experience.

Very convenient location, kind staff and talented chief behind counter. Freshly sliced sashimi, experienced salt grilled dishes. Fabulous dinning sense top of past two years. Recommended!

KOKORO DERBY REVIEWS

Kokoro is an all time favourite of mine and the Derby store loved up to the brand name. Slightly more spacious than other stores I’ve been to and also has kiosks as you can choose your options leisurely. Staff were quite friendly and there’s some seating both indoors and outside. Would always recommend a regular sized mixed bowl as it is usually very filling and you also get to enjoy two options. Other than the rice bowls, sushi and nigiri are also available.

Me and my son were excited to try here today and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and arrived quickly and hot. The staff were so polite too. We will be back.

Great food for great prices. Some personal favourites are the onigiri, sweet potato sides and the bulgogi beef. A great addition to Derby in providing a wider variety of food that is more affordable. Highly recommend.
