Mike has done both of my foot tattoos previously years ago.I knew I wanted a new tattoo so I popped in for a consultation to discuss my new tattoo that I was wanting. I did had a picture of what I liked with the flowers and dot work. But I didn't want the exact picture I wanted Mike to put his own stamp and revamp it. I knew wanted it on my side, we discussed how big tattoo would be, e.g we didn't want the tattoo underneath my bra strap. He advised me what would be best and gave his professional opinion which helped to. Mike drew up a picture before I had the tattoo done so If I wanted to tweak anything I could of. I had my tattoo done on 10th march 2022. This is what I imagined my tattoo would be like in my head I'm so chuffed with it. Thanks so much again for your time and effort, also being patient with me to! Will be back again soon for sure! - Stacey G
Mike spent some time with me helping me with the design. When I came back for the tattoo Julia explained what would happen. Spike at the art is a must for anyone looking get tattooed...from start finish the service is top quality... Julia looks after the customers with good chat an a cuppa an puts you at ease right away.... I have had numerous tattoos and a few piercings done at Spike at the Art and would never go to anyone else. Mike and Julia are very friendly, helpful and always acknowledge me as one of their regulars! I come in with sometimes slightly bizarre ideas and they know exactly what to do with them! Such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Mike was especially invested in the exact design I was looking for and was able to book my appointment within just a few days. He talked to me all the way through the tattoo and made me feel extremely at ease in his company. We had an enlightening chat and a few laughs along the way. Julia was also lovely, with tea and patience during my piercing. They are both so friendly. Highly recommended and I will be returning to Spike at the Art for more work in the future. Wow...what a hidden gem! Have never stepped inside the Spike at the Art before despite having lived in Plympton for 40 years! The most beautiful venue with the most welcoming and professional people. Spotlessly clean, kind and calm-everything I needed for a new piercing. Personal 1:1 service at a fraction of the price I've paid for piercings before! My cat crossed the rainbow bridge and I am heartbroken. I decided i would like his paw print tattooed on my arm and went to Spike at the At a I have had all my tattooed done there by Mike. I wanted Simba's name to buy didn't know which font to choose. Mike took the time to search the Internet and found a perfect one. Half an hour or so later I had a beautiful tattoo, no pain at all and the perfect permanent homage to my beautiful boy. Thank you so much, Mike and Julia! - Belinda Reply
Thank you very much - firstly, for making me feel welcome and calm, Julia and then Mike for taking so much time in helping me choose a design and then adding it to my finger to replace my wedding ring which had been removed after an injury. I so missed my wedding ring after 52 years of wearing it and now have a new represntation with which I am truly delighted. Mike also refreshed the "story of my family tattoo" on my right hand so the colours are virant again and match the new one..... so feel complete now and couldn't be more pleased. I was made to feel very welcomed, both very friendly and lovely to talk to! The design I wanted was way too small for the amount of detail, so Mike showed me some realistic size options & I am super happy with how the tattoo came out.
