Honestly, I was amazed, went in for a couple snacks while passing through the village got multiple items and was flabbergasted that every item was a 10/10. the shortbread was like a cloud never had anything like it before. Rocky Road was soft and flavoursome with all the treats on board, apple turn over was cooked to perfection and caramel slice was out of this world. The location is well out my way but will 100% go back to good to miss out on. Big shout out to the friendly staff.

Beautiful cakes freshly made and a great variety for all tastes. I purchased some chilli jam and it was amazing most definitely going to stock up on these. The cafe was very busy but still able to be seated. All in all a great place to visit and catch up with old friends.

Lovely little bakers if im in the area i always stop to grab a lovely fresh roll filled with what ever i decide on having and the pies etc are to die for. Lovely ladies serving, see you soon hopefully.

Quick dinner at Greggs today. Been craving a Greggs pepperoni pizza slice all week and it certainly lived up to my expectations. Delicious as well as the custard caramel donut which is always lush. First day of sun for a while so felt it was right to enjoy a summer fruits oasis- refreshing. Was also served by a cheerful man who seemed very enthusiastic. Overall a pleasant, quick, cheap dinner.

Always excellent service and value here. I highly recommend the breakfast deal £2.85 for a bacon roll and a coffee this morning. Also offers on the app. Staff are always fairly positive and helpful. One of the best Greggs I've ever been to.

Absolutely the best Greggs in the UK, amazing staff that put together my order on a daily basis (the usual). Always polite and down to earth - regular cap + extra shot.. in a large cup + chicken bake! Highly recommended.

GILDA BAKERY REVIEWS

I recently did the beginner’s sourdough home-baking course and absolutely loved it. The teacher, Ben, is very knowledgable and happy to answer everyone’s questions. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We made our own dough to take home and bake, shaped and baked a loaf to take with us (photo 2) and also learned how to use sourdough discard by making crackers with it. We also got to sample cookies made with discard as part of the plentiful snack offerings. We learned how to make our own sourdough pizzas for our dinner whilst our loaves baked (I made a white pizza). There were beautiful topping choices prepared for us to design the pizza of our choice. I baked my bread at home the next day using a cast iron casserole and have to say my family were impressed by the results (photo 3 & 4). My sourdough starter has been fed and I look forward to continuing my sourdough journey.

If you want the best, top quality, handmade artisanal bread then you will not be disappointed. With every bite you can tell how much care, love and devotion the bakers put into everything they produce. All the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and are always prepared to go the 'extra mile'. I and my son have also attended their sourdough workshop, a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience which was an ideal Christmas present.

Great bakery. Delicious bakes. Friendly staff. Lots of seating outside - great in the summer. Popular with cyclists, runners and dog walkers. The bakery doesn’t do hot drinks but the tadpole tearoom next door does. Lots of parking available. 10/10
