“The Parrot is a locally owned pub that was established on Roman foundations in the 14th century. The Parrot pub has an excellent ambience inside that gives a relaxed feel. The first-floor function room can accommodate around 40 seated guests and up to 55 standing. The chef offers a delicious buffet and sit-down event menus, offering extensive vegetarian and vegan options. They pride themselves on being able to cater to every taste, tipple and appetite. The pub has a stunning first-floor function room with original oak-beamed ceilings and walls. The Parrot offers free Wi-Fi, an outdoor area, live music, table reservations and real fire.

“The Dolphin makes the most delicious food using fresh ingredients. You must try their Philly cheesesteak, 1-course and 2-course meals. The pub has a great selection of drinks and food, and a beautiful garden to enjoy with your loved ones. The pub also organises some quizzes, a collection of board games, a fairtrade coffee machine and a Sunday pianist. The recommended dishes are Sticky Toffee Pudding, Chocolate Brownie and The Dolphin Burger. The Dolphin has unique amenities such as outdoor Seating, live performances, highchairs and wheelchair accessibility.

What an absolutely blooming lovely pub, such a great vibe and the decor is fantastic. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my girl friends chilli allergy was taken care of. I love this place and can't wait to come back.

We popped in for lunch today. We ordered vegan mushroom and ale pie with chips and The House burger. Both meals were tasty with good portions. Staff were friendly and I'll definitely be back to try their desserts.

Excellent pub right in the centre of Canterbury. Really great lunch, cooked fresh. Good pint of real ale too. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly and lovely courtyard garden.

What an absolute gem do I need to say anything more than it’s the oldest pub in town! Whether you come for an easy drink in the garden or for Sunday roast or dinner, it is always great. Food is delicious, has great variety, and service is on point, super friendly and helpful staff. I recommend checking out the daily specials too! Will keep returning here as it’s a favourite spot in Canterbury! The indoor interior is the best, authentic and wholesome experience.

We fallen in love with this place and indeed we spent here all the dinners of our stay in Canterbury. The place is "old", warm and cozy. Like opening the door on the past, but a pleasant past. It is never too crowded, and privacy is maintained between adjacent tables. The food is very good, with also vg options. The staff is really nice and makes you feel welcome since the moment you set foot inside the door.

Fantastic meal in a super cosy and atmospheric pub. I had an absolutely beautiful pie here for dinner - the staff were so attentive, friendly, welcoming and polite - would definitely come back here again, and recommend it to all.

Booked lunch here after my graduation with my family and had a great experience. Service took a little while admittedly, but when it did the staff were very friendly and considerate, and the food was ace. Menu is varied and plenty of choices regardless of diet. We had the fish and chips and the plant-based chicken burger - both delicious and well portioned. The fish is some of the best I’ve had! We appreciated that the waiter also asked if the plant based burger was for a vegan or vegetarian, which really impressed us. Definitely coming again.

We LOVED the toffee pudding! The cider was also very delicious and paired well with the dessert. We got there just as the sun was coming out so we got a chance to enjoy the sunshine in the garden. Definitely come here for the dessert.

Great environment and lovely seating space. The outdoor area is super amazing and comfortable- spacious too. I had bread and olives for a start which was really tasty. The mix of olives and sweet peppers was lovely. Then had the gammon steak with potatoes, peas and two eggs. The flavors really complimented each other and it was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.
