FILBERT'S BAKERY REVIEWS
Smells great, a working bakery, entering the store immediately relieved stress. ordered a chickpea pastie, a mushroom pastie and peanut butter blondie. Oh my, as a confused and lost West Country lad I'm glad i found this place. The pasties were confused, lost (in a good way) and absolutely gorgeous.
This is hands down my favourite bakery. I live about 20 minutes north of Lancaster and I will gladly make a trip to Lancaster just to but some bread there. Their overnight white is just amazing!
Fantastic range of freshly baked breads. Very knowledgeable and friendly service. Their house sourdough is delicious and lots more to try, including daily specials.

THE CORNISH BAKERY REVIEWS
We came in for a quick lunch and were promptly seated, despite the cafe being very busy. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The breakfast stack with avocado, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, halloumi and chilli jam was especially delicious. The chilli jam was a perfect combination to tie all the elements together. A pleasant surprise, and definitely a place I would be happy to visit again should I be around the area.
We often go for lunch here and have a pasty, very nice it is too. This time we decided to go for afternoon tea. It was really good, everything was freshly baked and there was plenty for two people. You can choose your fillings, we had 3 x half baguettes each with egg mayo, ham and tomato and cheese and onion chutney. There was also two slices of quiche, two macarons, two custard slices quarters, two beautiful stodgy brownies, two sausage rolls, pork pies and two scones complete with clotted cream and jam. All finished off with a huge pot of tea. Stuffed and very satisfied.
Lovely little cafe. My favourite in town! Apple and almond cake was probably the nicest cake I've ever eaten! Would 100% recommend.

GREGGS REVIEWS
There is consistently good service in this Greggs, on the occasions I’ve been in one of the most pleasant faces has been that of Angus, a youngish southern chap who has always been quick on getting me a sausage roll but happy to have a chat! As usual with Greggs it’s good food at a decent price (the uni one has the cheapest Dr Pepper on Campus), but Angus made the experience much better.
My visit was early morning not long after the shop had opened. Both the young man and lady behind the counter were very happy and welcoming, big smile, big good morning as I walked through the door. Which was definitely appreciated seems it was pooring rain and ice cold out. I've always found the staff at this store to be happy and greet you with a smile, it's refreshing.
Great customer service. Fast service. Purchased a salad cheese sandwich, a spicy turkey sandwich, a ham and cheese sandwich and 3 Coca Cola. I’ve asked the lady to warm my sandwich and she did. She was lovely. Thank you.
