GAIL'S BAKERY ST ALBANS REVIEWS

Gails gets many things right, often better than other cafes in St. Albans. When I arrive at opening time at 7:30 the staff are behind the counters, smiling and ready to serve, and you always feel welcomed. The cafe itself is clean and tidy and the ambience is nice and bright. Appreciated extras include free water, good quality dairy-free milk in Oatley Barista - and if you want the best vegan experience then you can upgrade to Bonsoi which is the best soya milk on the market. There is room for improvement however, vegan and gluten-free food choices are poor, and they need to allow people to pay by cash.

The staff at Gail’s Radlett are so friendly and I have to add that when I was in their with my son and it was his birthday one of the lovely girls serving came back to us and asked him to come to the counter to pick anything else he wanted! It made his day! Will definitely be going back! Also the pain au chocolates are delicious! Great coffee too! Thank you

The chocolate and almond croissant is out of this world you have to try it! Definitely will go back for this!

Very fast service and lovely guy behind the counter who kindly told me what items were when I asked. My favourite was the pear and almond tart, delicious! I got my food to go but it looks like a cosy café to sit in on a rainy day as many people were doing, dog friendly too. Bonus points for the sign outside, we all need a bit of a laugh!

What a wonderful place! The bakery is beautiful inside, it looks so cozy and familiar. It was my fist day in, and I will definitely be back. I had a pear tart that it was still warm, it was fresh and it tasted so good! Coffee was great too. Also, good customer service. I went there very early and it was quiet, but a few minutes later there was a long queue so I guess the earlier you go, the better.

Lovely coffee and tasty croissant. The alfresco courtyard at the back gives you that free feel experiences. I think playing a different radio station like Smooth Chill will really enhance the ambiance, but that’s just my opinion.

A proper Greek bakery right in the heart of St Alban’s! They’ve got all the classics you’d expect – fresh pastries, bougatsa, and those amazing cheese and spinach pies that taste just like the ones you’d find in Greece. On top of that, they serve all the staple Greek coffees: frappes, freddo espresso, freddo cappuccino – the whole lot. It’s such a nice spot to grab a quick bite or just chill with a coffee. They’ve recently expanded too, and the new seating area is really comfortable. Definitely worth a visit!

I have ordered a cake for my friend's birthday and was very pleased with the taste. Also recently I tried another cake and again it was delicious. Highly recommended. Yumm

I love to visit this Cafe whenever I am in St Albans.The coffee is excellent and the staff are super friendly and helpful. My son loves the orange pie but I prefer the cream cakes (I've tried several varieties and they are all delicious). I also love the air conditioned Cafe on a hot day. Keep up the good work!
