BILL'S REVIEWS
Eclectic building and decor - loved the aesthetic! Employees were friendly and our server was very good! Food was delicious and bountiful. We had eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, pancakes, Mediterranean breakfast platter. Would recommend them all! Farm fresh eggs too. We stopped there directly from LHR before we were able to stop at lodging and they were super kind about us having a few small bags with us. Would recommend & hope to return someday! Dietary restrictions: They are peanut free and very accommodating if you have allergies.
This was my first time eating at Bill's. The food was exactly what I expected. It was pub-ish fare but it was fresh and hot. The servers were extremely friendly and attentive! I'd go back just for that. Great night with friends made better with great service and food.
Was on a day trip to St Albans, had not been to a Bills for over 12 months. Really happy with the food selection on offer, staff were friendly, food was tasty, hot and fresh. Also do blue light discount which is a bonus for those eligible. Overall had a great meal

THE IVY ST ALBANS BRASSERIE REVIEWS
We really enjoyed our visit today to celebrate graduation. The coffee, cocktail and set menu two courses, all lovely and service was really friendly and efficient, thank you to Ethan and the team. Lovely seating area in the sunshine We recommend thank you so much for looking after us so well and the delicious lunch.
A wonderful lunch to celebrate 2 x 60th birthdays. We had the set menu which was gorgeous and the extra birthday pudding was a lovely surprise. Great service and good value. We will be back.
Went for some light brunch, first time in an ivy restaurant and I thought it was great. The place looks really cool and unique which I love. We had eggs royal, pancakes with fruit and some fun mock-tails all of which did not disappoint. Definitely recommend popping in to an ivy if you get the chance.

THOMPSON ST ALBANS REVIEWS
Absolutely wonderful evening with Amy at this fabulous restaurant! I had a challenge with local parking which the restaurant mgt helped me out with even before our evening began... When it was time for me to take breath, we enjoyed fabulous bar and dining rooms. For me, the cuisine was exquisit , service exceptional (serving staff always wore a smile and went to great effort to explain the 'make up' / composition of every dish !!) If you want a special evening out with your partner at St Albans, you will find anywhere else hard to best Thompsons!!
Exquisite dishes cooked to perfection. I’m surprised this doesn’t have a Michelin Star already. It won’t be long I’m sure. Excellent service and wine choices with the 7 course tasting menu (although I would avoid the ‘orange’ wine - a current fad)
Perfect service and a brilliant a la carte menu. Enjoyed the very rich prawn starter, delicious ox cheek main but the standout was a mind blowingly excellent pineapple desert! Will definitely be back for a special occasion. Only criticism is the dining rooms look quite drab - tired chairs and depressing paint, decor and lighting. ‘Food and service more than makes up for this!
