THE PRAE WOOD ARMS REVIEWS
I love the Prae Wood Arms for its ambience, delicious gluten-free menu and friendly staff who are always very obliging and efficient. Walking into the Prae Wood Arms feels like entering a grand house, and you can see how it was a hotel many years ago. It has a rich history first built in 1838 and lovingly restored in 2016. There is a separate dining area for private parties, upstairs. Well worth the visit. Vegetarian options: A good choice of vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free menu Parking: Plenty of parking around the building.
Love this place! It's got such a nice atmosphere and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The best of all is their tiered garden area. There's a dedicated BBQ section alongside their normal menu and a drinks area too and a small playground for kids.
Fantastic country pub, really a stately home. Set in beautiful, tranquil gardens. The food is always excellent and the wines are great as well. Dog friendly dining in a luxurious setting! One great idea they have is to combine tea / coffee with a small portion of any of their desserts. Genius! Everyone loved it.

WATEREND BARN REVIEWS
I popped in on the off chance, it is a stunning building inside. The toilets were very clean. I did not eat but the food looked nice. Staff very helpful. One of the best "spoons " I have been in..
I like this place. Beer prices are still quite reasonable compared to some pubs. I rate the pizzas highly, too. Then some friends recommended the chicken katsu curry. It turned out to be the best tasting katsu curry I have had anywhere.
Great pub in the centre of St Alban's selling excellent real ale and low prices.

The oldest pub in the world (well top 3 anyway) manages to be a tourist attraction while also being a great normal pub with a good atmosphere for a night out and serves excellent food too. Nice beer garden as well and couldn't ask for a better location.
