“Hoxton Bakehouse Winchester is an Artisan bakery making handmade sourdough bread, cookies, cinnamon buns, and Viennoiserie pastries. Darren Bland and Florence Hellier are the founders of the bakery. They aim to produce good sourdough bread and fabulous pastries, all handmade with love and delivered fresh every day.

2025 Update: At Hoxton Bakehouse Winchester, all pastries are handmade using only natural ingredients. Buns and croissants take three days to make, using wild-farmed flour and estate dairy butter. Their bread is made with just flour, water, and salt, hand-moulded and cold-proved for 24 hours using a selection of flours from Shipton Mill and Wildfarmed.”

Went here for coffee and light lunch with my friend. Coffe was lovely and my bacon and cheese turn over was delicious. Friend had the sausage roll which was even better. Great selection of sweet and savory. The customer service was wonderful they are very friendly, especially Tegan and Chris who served us. A stark difference from the other Winchester bakery which had a poor selection and the woman shouted at us quite rudely to shut the door when it wasnt even us who left it open. Definitely coming here again :

What a fantastic artisan bakery in Winchester. I had a breakfast roll, fabulous day filling. As I sat in having it, gradually the shop filled with locals getting breakfast, lunch, and delicious cakes. I will revisit it because, basically I love good fresh food. This place is a must.

Held here spontaneously. We were served by a very nice member of staff and then ate on the first floor. The ambience was lovely and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

HOXTON BAKEHOUSE WINCHESTER REVIEWS

Great bakery and coffee shop in central Winchester. You can't miss their incredible buns - the vanilla bun with a custard centre is the stuff dreams are made of. The Rubens toastie is also an absolute must if you're looking for an amazing lunch time sandwich - so flavoursome and the bread is amazing. The coffee is great too!

I got a bunch of different pastries for my colleagues to eat on our way out to the airport when leaving Winchester and they were delicious! I remember thinking the croissant was really good, among other things. The customer service was great as well. I'd asked for everything to be cut in half and they did so without any sort of complaining.

Some of the best coffee in Winchester (along with Coffee Lab) and a great selection of nordic buns, from the classic cardamom bun to more unusual flavours like slice rum and roasted pineapple. They are also known for their sourdough bread.

This Cornish Bakery is always my last stop before heading to LHR. I’ve been enjoying the pistachio croissant since I found it earlier this year and have been going back for them ever since. I live in the US but frequently travel to UK and on my 4th trip for the year, I decided to share the pastry with my husband so I bought some for take away - he loves them! Lou was very helpful in suggesting that I keep a cold drink in the bag with them so they wouldn’t warm up which is what I did. Thank you for the suggestion, Lou! I’ll see you next month!

Delicious.. great value.. delicious, friendly staff taking time to care and help with choices.. and again.. Delicious! Great value for your money. A very open atmosphere + outdoor seating too. Note.. they make their coffee a bit strong so you may ask not to, or add sugar, etc. overall an absolutely lovely spot.

To say this bakery is wonderful would be putting it lightly. I’ve been studying abroad here for the past few months and I come to Cornish Bakery several times a week, I know I’m genuinely going to miss this place when I go back home!
