A fab place, rare as got indoor seating plus some good parks & benches in walking distance to eat your delicious fresh fish outdoors. Always friendly service with a smile. Large selection. Been a favourite for over 15 yrs.

Just ordered through deliveroo food was still piping hot and tasted amazing will be ordering again the pic is of my mums kids meal she doesn't eat a lot .

Wow!! I had the med cod and med chips. Both picture are 1 medium portion of chips. We also go a large and have way too many. But my boyfriend says they are really good!! Being American I’m all about the fish. It was so light and flaky and was the best tasting I’ve had yet!! Highly recommend.

Great service , fish was crispy and chips were nice and thick and tasty, kabab was so tasty, even got given a free can of coke for me and my husband, best fish and chips in reading.

Fast service and food has been on point every time I've been. Rare to find a chippy where the batter isn't soggy and the food doesn't taste of old oil. Will be going back many times I suspect.

I normally get Uber eats to deliver from the Tasty Plaice, however on this occasion there was parking outside. Glad I stopped, friendly staff and very helpful. The foods good too. Recommended. Thank you.

Very late night dinner on the way home from work, friendly staff, very clean, small area to eat/wait. Lovely masala fish and plenty of piping hot, tasty fresh chips. Revitalised me for the rest of my drive home.

It was proper eye contact as he was taking my order, after I paid for it and it was very good service, fast food
