We love this fish and chip shop!! We often do both take-away and dine in. They have a few extra items on their eat-in menu. Everyone is always pleasant, and the prices are great. Portions are huge, so we either get regular or small fish & chips. The BEST thing is they have real old school fish cakes!!!! #IYNYN.

Amazing local gem. Fantastic fish & chips, lovely restaurant and wonderful friendly staff. Love how they provide scissors for the sauce sachets!! And children eat free!! We love our visits to kingfisher.

Yesterday I wented to eat fish and chips so I went to mother hubbards in Wakefield £7.95 fish and chips what can I say but very beautiful price it's a good job that I didn't get anything else because my stomach was full the best fish and chips shop in Yorkshire for my birthday present my son is going to take me out for lunch again.

Tried a Mother Hubbard's for the first time and honestly can't remember the last time I had such a delicious fish and chip dinner. I bought a standard haddock and chips with a curry sauce for £9. Massive portion for the price, I was stuffed afterwards! The fish was delicious and nicely battered, the chips were massive and chunky. The curry sauce was a lovely topper. The young, blonde lady who served me was very polite and professional. Very clean and freshly presented seating area. Brilliant stuff. I'll definitely be buying again.
